APR GTC-200 Wing on my f82

Just installed a 60 inch wing onto my f82 and I am absolutely blown away with how much more planted it feels at speed and going into curves. The 67 inch wing looked off to me for size but this one looks perfect in my opinion.

I've also been eye-ing up the GTC-300 but have been gun shy due to its MASSIVE size. I reached out directly to APR about the GTC-200 based on an instagram post from Not So Stock where they also showed an adjustable GTC-200 on a F82.

APR's response was "We offer GTC-300 and GT-250 for the F82. Photo showing GTC-200 which is the smaller version of GTC-300. You may contact sales@aprperformance.com to see if we can make a custom one for the F82. Thank you."

Do you mind if I ask where you purchased from? The mounting points look ideal. Was this a custom order from APR, or a GTC-200 for a different application?

+1...is that a "universal" GTC-200, custom order, or something else?

Would be curious to see side and rear profiles of the car w/ GTC-200 if possible!

Looks like you need a TON of front aero to balance that out

This is in fact the "Universal" GTC-200 since they don't offer anything specific to the F82/F80. Just drilled a few holes and threw it on haha. Probably should've made a bracket for mounting but it seems pretty solid at least up to 110. And in theory there shouldn't be force pulling up on the uprights.

Appreciate it!

APR's posted CFD data shows the 60.5" GTC-200 is more efficient at 0-5 AOA than the GT-250 (67" tested). And when when equipped with a gurney flap, CFD data shows the GTC-200 nearly matches the GTC-300 (which was also tested at 67" width) at 0-5 AOA.

My concern with the GTC-300, other than size and associated drag, is the ability to properly balance it with front aero. For an owner that wants more capability on circuit than stock but also regularly streets their car, the GTC-200's range seems easier to tune without needing a massive front spoiler with diffusers, dive planes, etc.

I would ask - how does the universal wing's standard pylon height interfere with rearview mirror visibility?

+1. If it's a bigger wing than the one on the M4 GT4 without a GT4-sized splitter or dive planes in the front of the car, I'd imagine the imbalanced aero/vertical load over the rear axle would create a lot of pitch down/compression on the rear shocks at higher speeds. Can you compensate for that with stiffer rear springs?

Almost perfect for visibility. If you had an m3, it would probably be horrible

You won't compensate for it, the car will just handle poorly. It needs huge front aero to be balanced.
