Looking at either VS-5RS because they are just... beautiful. And light. 18x11 +25 and 18x11 +44 rear

Or Bimmerworld TE:AL TA16 18x11 +36 all around.

It's hard to beat rotatable setup, but... Apex are just way better looking... and just a bit lighter. I'm being silly aren't I?
I love my TA16s and they actually look really great on F8X, unfortunately the only stock photos are in black. Mine below are a 18x10 sq, so not the size you’re after but just to give you an idea of the look. Also on stock suspension, so will look much better if you’re on coils.

VS-5RS are pretty sexy tho and are only outdone by the actual BMW GT4 wheels.

Not at all, your car, do what you like! I am however very curious as to how the 315/30/18 RR's fit if you decide to go that route. I've got a different setup with GTS front knuckles and only went down to a 7" spring, but hopefully the knuckles give me the clearance I would need. Also uncertain whether my 11" wheels are wide enough for the RR in 315, currently running 295/30 RR's but want more sidewall and width if possible

Will 295/30/18 or 305/35/18 fit in the rear with 18x10.5 et27 wheels with -2 camber?

there's a couple forum guys and ig guys that have run 10.5 et22 or et20 with 295/30 in rear and have made it fit with -2.0 or more camber ... Apex wheel fitment site says -2.5 camber in rear... my guess is with et27 you will be okay w/ a 295/30 and -2 camber, not sure about 305/35/18. although 305s are probably too wide for a 10.5 inch wheel.

I had a chance to buy the wheels I want in 10.5 et22 but went back/forth for awhile but finally placed an order for 10.5 et37 so I wouldn't have to worry about fitting the rear. Will accept using a big ish spacer in front.

Btw if anyone is looking to run 18x10 square, BW has their latest wheel out and it's a pretty great deal. Clearly inspired by the E46 CSL wheels - doesn't look half bad on F8X

I'm considering Volk TE37SL's now, I've always loved Volks and just realized they seem to be available as 18x11 +34 which seems perfect as square/rotatable for the GTmore suspension kit.

So update on this, I learned in addition to GTmore custom control arms, custom camber plate, and such, the GTmore 18x11 fitment for 315s actually requires custom MCS dampers as well. I'll probably be steering away from this now as I already have MCS dampers and GC camber plates, it will cost a fortune since I'm not starting from stock.

It's a lot of cost to absorb to then have to resell my current parts. GTmore suspension is a Fantastic setup though if you are starting from stock.

That's what I said in the beginning of the idea: the shocks are eye to eye and different than the regular shocks

In any case, 295 square is a healthy amount of tire and there are plenty of very fast cars running that

Yeah I realize that, I did not fully understand the eye to eye thing, as this term is virtually un-googlable for struts from my attempts, and I haven't spent a lot of time staring at dampers to really get it. So it took some time to sink in that yes in fact we are talking about SPECIAL MCS dampers, it just is one of the less clear parts of the GTmore build.

So from what I gathered if I run 5" spring up front I'm basically good to go to run 295 square (295/30/18

What I'm not sure about yet is 295/35/18, and whether I can fit helpers. Phil also sees coil bind (100% spring compression as I understand it) as a risk for 5" 800lb and said he usually goes 850lb to be safer

agreed on all counts. I ran 800 for a long time without coil bind, but whatever Phil says is gospel as far as I'm concerned

Anyone ever tried fitting 295/40R18 up front? Seems like it will rub pretty bad with a 40 profile. Picking up a square 10.5 TA5R setup from BW and planning on running 285/35 square.

My F80 Setup Configuration:

Racewerkz in Burbank & EAS: European Auto Source in Anaheim, CA setup the car. Chewerks handles the Track Alignments:

MCS 2WR w/ Vorshlag Camber Plates
• 5” Swift Primary
• Hyperco Helper
-3.6 Front Camber, going to ask for -3.8 next alignment

Titan-7 Forged Wheels
Front Setup: T-S5 +34 w/ 15mm Spacer
Tires: I’ve tried & tracked with no clearance issues the:
• Yokohama A052 295/30/18
• Toyo RR 295/30/18

* I too was advised against setting up the car like a GT4 with shortened arms & steering restrictors, it’s a street car & I want the full scrub radius. 315 front you can’t do the fast food runs

I have not but will be running 295/35/18 RE71RS next which run a bit wider, currently running 295/30-18 RR's with plenty of room.

Okay wheels are coming in today, now thinking about tire size. Going to run Hankook RS4s next season. My setup will be stock dampers and MPHAS with minimal drop and I would like to run 285/35 square on 10.5et36 with 15mm spacer in front. Anyone foresee any fitment issues?

Edit: as soon as I posted they came in

The 285/35 is a bit taller than 285/30, so I don't know if it fits for sure. You're probably fine

This guy was running 18x10 square with 285/35 RS4 that I found recently: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1932505

Although the inner clearance should be different (resolved by your spacer) the height should not pose a problem. If anything the slight stretch should reduce the overall height just a tad.

Also found a few examples of F80s running 295/35 from Assist/Laptorr and Sunbeam motorsports that you can find on Instagram. Just know you'll have to play with alignment a bit!

Any updates? I'm waiting for my 18x10.5 et37 wheels, 15mm spacers front. Thinking about running 285/35 RS4s as well as the 275/35 RS4s look relatively square on my 18x10 wheels.

I ended up picking up a set of these when they came out and paired them up with RS4s. Great looking wheel.

No update yet, just waiting for the end of the year to pick up tires. Also having some other suspension work done first.

Finally got these mounted - 285/35 RS4s on 18x10.5et36. I’m currently running MCS with a 6in spring, my shop has test fitted them and told me I need 20mm spacers to make the fronts clear the perch. Once I have the car back I’ll take some pics.

In the spirit of keeping the tire porn going and getting in the mood for upcoming season, here's a stack of RR 295/30/18 (left), with 10.5" TA5Rs they'll be mounting to (center), and older CR-S 285 + 315's that I need to use up also (right)
