Is the M4 really the perfect daily?
As the title says can the m4 really be driven everyday? A little background I have drive a modified e92 for a couple years and a 1000hp mustang gt. So what I’m wondering is there any hidden demons once the m4 hits a certain mileage?

It’s a great daily driver. Like any car, it requires maintenance and repairs. Risk of costly repairs can be mitigated with an extended warranty (or by leasing).
Consider reading through this thread and reaching out to owners with higher mileage: https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1043508 Ultimately, there is no such thing as a perfect or risk free car.

I've driven the car almost every day from the time of delivery in July 2016 and have loved every second of it.

It is my only car, as was the coupe when I had the F82. My wife has a 2012 Audi Q5.

The F82 is one of the best daily drivers out there. There is plenty of power and the 6 Cylinder is fair on gas. The trunk is big and can fit a lot of things. The rear seats actually work in a pinch.

Honestly that's my biggest fear with my car that I daily drive. If you daily drive you're gonna run in to road debris, construction zones, dead animals etc. more than one story of engines grenading from a oil cooler leak. Notable one is that guy in the F90 forums that pulled over almost immediately after the low oil light came on but the engine damage was already done.

its great.
With the F80 i feel there is no other car like it. Manual, good amount of space for all passengers, fast af, and its looks amaaazing with some carbon if i had to find something to knock on it would be the exhaust sound. But its not bad

No. The M4 is NOT the PERFECT daily driver.
There are way more better daily drivers than an M4. The M4, as all M3/4 before it, is really meant as a dual use car: daily driver and track toy, which means it is inherently compromised. I fondly like to say of all my ///Ms that they are not the best at anything but they are the second best at everything. That being said, yes, the M4 can be daily driven without any issue. I've daily driven all my ///Ms since 2001 through all four seasons without problem. I've taken them on road trips with the family, driven them to work, daycare, lumbar yard, ski cottage and all. And I've spanked some Porsches on the racetrack to boot . The M4 is not the perfect daily driver, but it is the perfect car for my needs .
