Help resolving the following codes - 140010 140001 160010 160001
Hi all,
Yesterday, while driving moderately (in Sport+ though), Ive received a Drivetrain Malfunction error and CEL. The following codes were displayed after I read them: 140010 - misfires, more cylinders: recognized 140001 - misfires, more cylinders: injection is switched off 160010 - misfires, cylinders 6: recognized 160001 - misfires, cylinders 6: injection is switched off Ive loaded Stock map with BM3 and car still runs very rough and lots of fuel smell around. Nothing is visibly wrong in the engine bay. I was on Custom 91oct map. Car is a manual 2015 F80 with 30K miles, has AWE, charge pipes, K&N filters. NGK spark plugs gapped to .020 were installed few months ago. Prior to this tank of 91 I did run E85 with 2oz of top lube for 3 tanks without issues. Issue happened after a switch - 5 miles on 91 map. Any tips / troubleshooting advice? Bad injector / spark plug / coil / or other problem? I have also informed my tuner of this. Thanks |

Had the same exact issue happen to a good buddy of mine.
Injector got stuck open so had to replace injector #6. Full E85 was in use for approximately 10k miles straight for roughly a year with no regular gasoline cycle. Spark plugs also got fouled up due to excess fuel. Replaced all six, but would also recommend a compression test and UOA for additional diagnostics. |

After a discussion with my tuner, we have cleared the codes and let the car sit overnight. then i deleted all downloaded maps in my computer bootmod3 directory. Then I flashed the stock map through my laptop. Car started up and ran fine. drive around the block was also fine and there were no cedes. Later, i have loaded my 91 oct custom map and all seems ok now after a day of driving.
So the suspicion was that for some reason 91oct map was never flashed and the car kept running on E85 map therefore supplying way more fuel that caused the misfire and injector shut off. The initial flashing process to 91oct did have an issue with online flash and i went ahead with offline mode which indicated that the flash was successful (case created with bootmod3 to investigate). Hopefully, spark plugs and injectors are still fine. |

same exact issue is happening with me.
jb4 on map 7, and as of late- extreme driving on map2. just had my plugs replaced, still same results. haven't tackled the injector equation yet keep us posted on your findings

This just happened to me today
I was in Eco mode and accelerated and my car went into drive train malfunction mode. I just got the oil changed last week. 2016 with 25K miles on it. I cleared the codes and flashed the transmission and the entire system. When I restarted still running rough and drive train malfunction.
140010 misfires more cylinder 140310 misfiring cylinder 3 140001 misfires more cylinders injection is off 140301 misfiring cylinder 3 injection is switched off running 91 oct tune |

Bumpity!
I just shot proTUNING Freaks an email as I got the 140001 codes as well. Running E85 multimap. Car was running fine I was on my 5th tank of an E85/93 mix. Started it and got down the street and got the drive train malfunction/ still operational engine light and white smoke

I got these codes, was in limp mode, changed plugs and coil packs and the car is driving great. Could it be possible that I have a stuck injector even if the car is driving great? It wouldn’t let me clear the injector shut down code. I was thinking it needs a few drive cycles to clear the code, hoping I don’t have to replace injector
