AA EL Mid Clamps

For the second time the clamps from my AA EL midpipe to muffler are failing again due to rust.

I see AA sell replacements now. However they are expensive! Are there alternatives? I’m based in Ireland so between shipping and taxes they could add up to almost $200

Can't you use any exhaust clamp here?

I've used a couple different 65mm exhaust clamps for attaching BMW mufflers in the past and haven't had issues. Usually around $20 each.

I replaced mine from the get go with Jegs (yeah not fancy). Theyve held up nicely for 20k miles and I live in Boston with a ton of road salt and potholes etc

Theyre actually 45% off rn on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078WHJS9V...roduct_details

I think this may be the best forward for me. Do you know the correct part number? They sell so many different clamps.

I bought some genuine Audi exhaust clamps from eBay. They worked perfectly. No rust and made in Germany

I have an M2 Comp and replaced the exhaust clamps with Vibrant Performance TC Series High Exhaust Sleeve Clamps (2.5" OD, 3.5" Wide). These are stainless steel (with Grade 8 galvanized mild steel hardware) = no more rust!

I believe the part number is 1K0253141P (65mm). KICO makes these for Audi.
