inspection question

I have bootmod3 and run catless, as expected the catalytic readiness reads not ready on the inspection report, but the oxygen sensor also reads not ready.

Wasn’t expecting the oxygen sensor to read NR.

Is there a way around this or a fix?

Swap back to OE downpipes, or possibly add defoulers to the o2's.

Yeah I know to swap back if all else fails but I passed inspection for 9 years on my E82 with catless dp’s and that car didn’t even have a tune to get rid of the cel light. I tried defoulers in the past and they do not work

There’s no issue with the o2’s. They’re just not reading as ready so I’m wondering if the time has eliminated the 02 reading…?

Right, the tune is suppressing the O2’s to keep you from not having a CEL. They will never show ‘ready’ with the tune suppressing the CEL and if you disable that, then you’ll have the CEL and fail.

I’ve seen defoulers work on other platforms and there’s nothing special about the f80 to suggest they can’t work, just have to find the right defouler. That part I can’t help with. Lol

I tried defoulers in my E82 and they did not work, and made the car run like absolute shit lol.

I ended up passing by plugging in a scanner and driving around until I had every monitor "ready" aside from the catalyst monitor. Worked for 9 years straight.

But with the F80, and bootmod3, there HAS to be a way to just activate the 02 monitor sensor. It doesn't make sense to have it disabled when the catalyst monitor is already disabled...

Defoulers are shot in the dark may work but likely not BMW engine too wicked smaht kid
