Because of the bolstered leather knee pad that is unique to the M3/4.

Seconded. I just started building one in earnest a few days ago, and can't imagine getting these things. Rest of the pack might be worth it, but these would have to get replaced with BBS or HRE's.

Something I just noticed in the PR pictures: No contrasting stitching on the door pulls of both the M3 and M4 . Hopefully it is just a fluke.

At that price I will pass. I can see 5 grand going further and more personal on the outside market.

For those already thinking of selecting adaptive suspension, 19" wheels, and aftermarket black trims, the price is actually much lower than what the package would suggest.

After reading the reviews on the "other" ZCP thread I kind of wish I held out a month or two to get it. Mostly with regards to the suspension tweaks.

Anyone know if the new seats are any more accommodating to helmets?

I typically have to strap a custom bolster to the seat just behind my shoulders to keep my helmet from pushing my head forward and down on track days. The headrest interferes...

Have you read any of the reviews so far?

Yeah, I was planning on getting all of those anyways, still comes to $3300 more on the configurator (doesn't take into account what I would spend on the black trim). Not a fan of the blacked out emblems and exhaust though... and would still prefer the 19" black rims. Will probably not spend the extra $3,300

The knee pad is an inclusive part of the cup holder cubby. BMW probably figured it was not worth redesigning that part on the F8X due to the lower production volumes.
