I think I'm in a similar situation my dealer took my spec for a M4 CP just over a week ago however he hasn't given me a build date or delivery just keep saying some time in September or October. Also they haven't taken any money of me yet either. Confused!

I followed my present car through the stages a couple of years ago and this seems to be a standard stage, car went through from 5200 (paint shop start) 5280, 5290, 5300, 5400, 5500 (assembly complete) in 24 hours.

Just heard car is now 9620 (at sea). Asian Breeze left Cuxhaven on Sunday so probably on it, due Southampton tomorrow. So looks as if things on schedule as it was to be a week 24 build with week 27 delivery. Sadly will be in France / Belgium till mid July so can't collect till I return. Pity they didn't do factory collection.

My car is currently showing a code 5055, any idea what that relates to. I have been given a chassis number, so looks promising... |

I have 3 weeks between build to arrival on my order currently. These are all estimates of course but it's a relatively safe assumption.

According to Nick Murray the competition pack is more comfortable than the standard car (well his older M4)!!!
Maybe differences in the US with the suspension set up.....

Cool! I hope you love it, I know you've been obsessing over the details but now the real story can begin!
Enjoy.

However, am wondering how much noisier the M3 is over the 3 series. So I've took dB readings with my current car to compare at motorway speeds.

I dont think I will sleep, but not because of the car. I've had a shoulder/back/neck issue for the last 3-4 weeks and its really painful at the moment. In fact driving my car makes it much worse so I'm not looking forward to the hour odd journey tomorrow. Will spoil the pick up a bit, but these things happen. Also uhming and arring over whether to buy the service pack after contacting my local dealer today to enquire on service costs. Seems the first service is £265 and the 2nd around £980 which is for 20K or 2 years. Those two alone come to more than the service pack cost. But it means shelling out over a grand tomorrow just on the service pack (I would not put it onto the monthlies). Depends how long I'll keep the car.
