Krass Technik CS/GTS style hood

Got a Krass Technik CS/GTS style V2 hood installed. Fitment was spot on.

Thanks Phil @ HKPTuning for the hood. I'll try to find time to snap better pictures in the coming weeks.

What's the weight savings? Is it full carbon?

I PM'd those who inquired about vendor and pricing.

The stock hood was surprisingly light already, so weight savings was minimal. Probably ~10 lbs.

The frame is carbon fiber. I think the top is FRP.

I didn't purchase my hood from this vendor, but here's a link.

Is the manufacturer same as the OEM hood? That's what I got in a FB Group.

I received my GTS hood recently along with new Dinmann fenders and I'm having it painted alpine white. My shop says they'll have to "blend" the door and the bumper in order to match the paint so...I'm hoping it will turn out good

I have the hood, they are about half of the OEM weight.

The official number from the manufacture are the following:

OEM ~ 12 KG
GTS ~ 6KG

There is video done by BBM Motorsport in Germany with the KrassTechnik V2 hood. Although the way they measured is not the most accurate but it is very close to what manufacture suggested.

Thanks for sharing the details. How do you like the Turner intake? Looks very similar to some others that cost twice as much or more. I've been sitting on the fence about it.

I wasnt planing on doing intake because I couldnt really justify the price for something you only see when you open the hood. Sure there is bling, sound factor and all. However I started to have 2nd thought after getting GTS hood and feel it needed something to complete the engine bay. When i saw Turner released their version of intake I was hooked by their pricing and design. So far I like them alot and the sound is definitely much more pronounced than the K&N drop in filter that I had. Also, I cant really complain the fit and finish either. They are definitely quality item with very competitive pricing
