Angel eyes not working

Hello everyone.

I just replaced a dead battery in my 2016 M4.

Ever since the battery has been replaced the angel eyes have either not worked properly or at all. At first they worked every now and then... about 50% of the time, up until recently (past week or so) they do not work at all.

I tried changing the brightness in BimmerCode hoping it would force them to reboot and start working properly with no luck.

The new battery is a antigravity LifeP04 lithium ion battery recommend to me by several members here. There is no codes, no warning lights on in the vehicle whatsoever and everything else is working properly.

If anyone has any ideas that could save me a trip to the BMW dealer that would be awesome!

Thanks

Did you register the battery? Also, the Antigravity battery is supposed to be an AGM-70 type, not LiFeP04 unless the thread on this forum is inaccurate. According to that thread, you have to code the new battery type to AGM-70 before registering it.

Have you tried the headlight teach in procedure to diagnose? You will need Ista for that.

I have not. I will have to give this a shot. Is Ista an app I can download and use with my veepeak or something entirely different?

Thanks

No its a PC program and it uses an ENET cable to connect.

I honestly dont see the relationship between a new battery and the headlights failing. Its even more suspicious since it failed over time and not right after.

I suspect it's. Scoring error, I had a similar effect when coding for headlight into euro spec and turned of the angel eyes, reverted back to stock and it was fine again.

Don't be, the two are most likely unrelated.

Running codes will determine what has failed/isn't communicating in order to troubleshoot further rather than guessing.

Update... It was a relay that went bad lol. Just a coincidence that it started to go bad right after the battery replacement.

The antigravity battery is great and everything is working perfectly now. Thanks everyone!

Just noticed that the right DRL and corner light are not working. Headlights do work.

Checked all the connections…going to codes and see.

Where is the relay that I can check?
