M4 Individual

I was just looking at the Individual Visualizer page

and the M4 is no longer included. I imagine this means that individual paint colors, etc. are no longer being offered for 2020, but I was just wondering if anyone had any more specific information. Thanks

The M4 convertible is still offered. I'd say that since this is the last model year and production is shutting down for the F80/F82/F83 M-cars, Individual paint will be offered when the G8x models are available.

Thanks--that sounds likely; but I guess the G8x models will have the huge grills. : )

Nope - same as the current G20 cars. The "huge grilles" are on the concept cars only. Wouldn't make sense to have completely different tooling for the same basic chassis.

stupid question but....is custom exterior paint color the only thing that make's a car "individual" ?
the m4 i just bought says individual on the fender tag but is only mineral white.

No, there can be many things besides exterior paint that make a car "Individual", pretty much anything you want. My wife's M3 has Individual San Marino Blue paint and Individual Polar Blue contrasting stitching in the interior. Individual paint and Individual interior, usually non-standard leather color, are the two most common things, but others have done much more. There is an "Individual Manufaktur" catalog somewhere here on Bimmerpost. Search and you will find it.

Not sure why your Mineral White is considered Individual, but you'd have to do a VIN search and find out what the Individual component(s) is/are. Search for that if you don't know how.

Hey thanks...just ran the vin and it showed "Indiv. leather extended/"cohiba" (ZAWT)" and leather dash.

Yes, in 2016 Cohiba Brown was one of several interior color options that were offered over and above the standard colors and was offered for less than the price of a "full" Individual interior, where BMW makes the leather to whatever color you want. I have a friend that got Cohiba Brown Leather on his 2016 Mineral White M3. The other colors were Golden Brown, Nutmeg, Opal White, and Amaro Brown. The MSRP was $2300 unless ordered with the Executive Package, and then the price was $1350.

In 2016 BMW also offered three Individual paint colors that cost $1950; Champagne Quartz Metallic, Tanzanite Blue Metallic, and Smoked Topaz Metallic. I also have a friend that got his 2016 M3 in Tanzanite Blue Metallic. The MSRP of a "full" Individual exterior is $5200.
