403M's look perfect for the new 3s. Not a huge fan of either wheel choice they've put on the M's.

18s look small in f30 chasis imo.. i should know since i have one.. with even wider fender arches on f8x, i just think it'll look silly..

I want to see E9X ZCP wheels on the F8X. I hope to God that the F8X ZCP wheels stick with the E46/E9X ZCP styling and don't mirror that of the F10 M5's Competition Package.

Car needs the 19 inch. The stock wheels look crap imo or are just way too small.

I like the look of the 19's better, but I'm still going for the 18's. My M3 will be a daily driver and I'll also use it in the business to haul co-workers and customers. I don't want anyone's dentures falling out on our crappy PA roads.

Since the new F80/F82 is somewhat bigger than the E90/92, the 18" wheels look too small in comparison to the 19" models shown. I always thought that 19's looked too big on any E9x model, but they seem to fit the wheel wells on the new cars.

It's a shame that we've been conditioned to go for larger diameter/lower profile tires, as in many cases they're impractical for the street and can ruin handling/ride.

As others have said, the 18s are not a bad style, but are too small proportionally to the car. I'll likely go 19s, but pull them off immediately and put on my refinished RAC forged 19s (ZCP style).

Def 19s for me because those CCB are an absolute must. Any idea what kind of offsets we are gonna be dealing with?

I think the main problem is the tire thickness around the wheel... For example, 255/40/18 in the front makes for much more thickness than, say, 225/40/18 that a 335i has with 18 inch wheels.

Not sure what they are thinking with those specs, because, as everyone is saying, it looks horrible!

aren't these 18s the same wheels as on the black M3 in this link:
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...46&postcount=1

if so they look much better than in the configurator pics

totally disagree. low-profile does not mean higher performance. look at any race car. personally, I like the 18's specifically because they have thicker tires.

We're not talking about performance here (I certainly wasn't) -- everyone is talking about appearance, no? Low-profile LOOKS much better to most people, and for some reason the 18 inch wheels are using relatively high-profile tires, and my point was that this is why they are looking lame...

I'm with the majority here that with preference for the 18" as the better looking wheel.
Exactly.

19's just look bigger, as the silver portion is larger, and the black tire blends into the wheel well. But as a package, both fit the wheel well exactly (well there are small differences) the same.

I dig the 18".. CGI looks weird, will have to see in person. 18x10" rears sound mean though!

but I'm actually talking about looks. sorry, I phrased that poorly. I like the look of a lot of rubber. makes the car look more purposeful. tastes differ, of course.

18's look good when the car is lowered properly. Stock height or ZCP the 19's would probably be more aesthetic to most including myself.
