Hard to believe that a fully loaded 97k M4 that does not have comp next to it is a Civic....damn on me I never bought stock in Honda

Thanks for posting, great write-up. I have a "civic" M4 and drove a comp F80 and ever since then have been wondering "what if..."

Aside from the caliper color choice, the exterior looks pretty much as good as an F8X can get which makes it one of the best looking cars on the road. Factory front, side and rear. Vorsteiner GTS diffuser. High quality black 20s.

ICON headlights and updated LED rears make or break an F8X for me. The biggest aesthetic improvement one can make and a pricey one at that. Well done.

I never lower on stock shocks. I don't know why this shortcut along with adding wheel spacers are so popular with this crowd. Your M deserves better.

Drive safe and enjoy!

Hey thanks! Seems like there was strong advice in these parts to go with a HAS kit for the comp suspension as opposed to coilovers (though I think most suggested the MP HAS kit) and I wanted to retain the EDC function so I didn't go full coilovers. I should have however and don't really have anyone to blame but myself. I'll ride it as is for a few months and like I said will make a change in the spring if I'm still not happy.

Thanks again!

Me too.

I had to reread it two times and still didn't know what he was saying. I was expecting some pictures of his Civic.

check out post #18 above.

------

and I'm offended - I used to own a civic

In reality not much difference from the '15 to the '20s. Nothing BM3, coding, wheels, and some suspension changes can't make.

It's not as major as the M2 going to the M2C as a current example.

Now to ask the flip question, if you went from a Comp to a 'Civic' - how would you feel?

Thanks...my bad, I completely missed that post. I guess the base M3 "missed the mark" so bad it wasn't any better than a Civic? Im still not getting the Civic comment.

I will say I drove a base and I felt like it constantly wanted to kill me. The Comp puts the power down much, much better which in my opinion is absolutely critical. Its a much more drivable car but in no way did the base miss the mark.

I love this car too much, I couldn't live with it not looking the way I wanted it until the Spring. Went ahead and removed the KW HAS kit and installed new KW V3 coilovers. The ride is awesome now, just like my prior car and I couldn't be happier!

How is the drop now? I think the tuck in the rear might be a bit too much, and I will likely bring it up a hair. What's the verdict, too low or leave as is? No rubbing on 265/30/20 front, nor 295/30/20 rear.

Dirty car alert!!

Nicky your car looks GREAT. Just as importantly, you are now happy with the ride. I'm the wrong guy to ask about drop because I'm running 18s on stock adaptive suspension You're car looks hella slammed to me

Hah thank you sir, I really appreciate it! I'll ride it for a week or so and see how it does, if no big rubs/scuffs or the like maybe I'll leave as is. Thanks again, have a nice holiday season!

Thanks! Seats are nice, really don’t notice any difference at all between comp and non comp seats. I’ve spent 17 hours straight in them multiple times going to/from Miami, never get a sore back! The black M4 badge on the newer seats is nicer though!

Yep, I traded my 2015 F82 with 52k miles and all kinds of suspension mods for a 2019 F82 Comp with 5.5k miles.

It will take some time for me to adjust to the G8x looks.

I actually went from a Civic (Type R) to an M4 (GTS).

I'm sure the Comp is a nice upgrade from the base car, plus you are back in warranty, which is always nice.
