I just did the update to UPD09051.bin on my 2016 M4 CP (NBT EVO ID4).

Telephone: TB-001.050.002 --> TB-001.050.002
Media: MB-001.050.002 --> MB-001.062.040
Add-on: NONE --> HB-001.063.050

I have no idea what this means...

And I don't think it matters since I installed an aftermarket CarPlay MMI unit and that's all I use now... haha

Just done this myself after coming across this thread,

Previous versions:
Media: MB-001.050.002
Telephone: TB-001-050.002
Add On: HB-001.062.032

New versions:
Media: MB-001.062.040
Telephone: TB-001-050.002
Add On: HB-001.066.050

Can anyone confirm this is that latest update for the idrive? I searched it on the bmw.com/update website, input the vin and it gave me the above update - UPD9051

Also does anyone know what it actually changes ? I cant seem to find the info.

Post Update success on ‘18 M2

I successfully applied the UPD09051 to my ‘18 M2. I placed the .bin file from the BMW website right at the root directory on a USB flash drive. And I plugged the flash drive into the USB port in the storage bin between the front seats. Here’re the before and after versions listed on the screen:

Same, I updated my maps to 2022 and iDrive to the latest version, but like you it will be all for nought now that I've got my CarPlay MMI installed
