Weird paint burn...?

So I handwashed my F80 today (as usual ☺️) and while I was spray waxing it I noticed this weird blemish on the passenger door under the handle.

It’s only noticeable in certain light and basically not visible head on. I can feel a difference in the surface coating going across it from the unaffected area.

The car has PPF everywhere but doors and trunk so this is not covered.

I have not used any mechanical buffers on this car...and haven’t noticed it until today. I know every mark and blemish on the car. This is new since the last wash a couple weeks ago...

Thoughts? Remedies?

Try Meguairs UC by hand and see if it comes off.

Yeah...I’m a bit apprehensive to compounding cause area feels thinner, but I guess I’ll try it lightly to see...

Looks like overspray. Have you been around any painting environment? I would try clay then polish.

Measure prior to? If not, start with the least aggressive or stop by a local detail shop.
