- I find the M4 look a bit too bloated. E9X size should've been the limit to how much a 3/4 series should be. The E46 is the perfect size
- E46 wheel arches are the best ones. I had to look a lot harder to notice the ones on the F82. - Compared to their non M, base models, the M4 made the most improvement. The M4 made the headlight -> grill work for me. With that said I LOVE the grill on it except for the M4 badge. - The M4 made the two others look very dated. - Best ass: E46 > E92 > F82. Best Face: F82 < E92 < E46. Best Side: E92 > E46 > F82 - I would like to see F82 without the lip (can someone link a photoshop'd pic?). I think the F82 has the most aesthetic potential. E90 LCI M3 w/ 359's is still my favorite M3. I just can't bring myself to love the F82 or even the E92 in pictures. An E92 in real life is GORGEOUS. I can't wait to see (and hear) an F82 in real life. |

An E46 in real life still looks stellar. Especially a clean non modded one!
Lets face it gents, all previous iterations of these cars will look dated eventually. However, the beauty of M is that with every successor the previous gens age with grace. I prefer the E46 M3 to the E92. But the E90 M3 is still the best looking M3 to date IMHO. The wheel arches and the bull dog stance on the E90 M3 will stick around for generations.

I love the progression in styling. Almost as if they blended the squared look of the e46 with the curvier e92.
I agree though, the cut line on the hood is garbage. Let's hope this is because it's a concept and the proper molds haven't been made yet (even though the same line is seen in the spy photos). If you blend the cut line like on the e92, we will have a true winner.

I like everything in the M4 except the hood cut line and the front bumper. Hopefully, the interior will be better than the F30/32.
Can anyone here explain technically as to how the design with the hood cut line being the way it is on the M4 will hurt a pedestrian less than the design on the E92 and E46? If the hood cut line is there as a result of EU regulations, why does Audi not comply to them? Audi A4/A6, for example. |

It's kind of amusing to see the receding hood line in the side by side pictures.

What a gorgeous E92! lol
Color comparison will never be accurate until you see all three in person next to each other so attempting to guess at the color difference is worthless. also.. ERROR: Top middle picture is Dakar Yellow, not Phoenix Yellow.

///3s are timeless designs. I still think the E92 is visually better proportioned but the ///4 looks fresh and a bit loud with all those vents both front and back. My 2c.

this is a very cool comparison! seeing the M4 in person just goes to show that the pics although look great do not do the M4 justice at all. The new styling is amazing on the M4. When I first saw the pics of the M4 I liked it a lot and then after seeing it in person the M4 has def become my new favorite M

I still prefer the E92... The rear of the f82 looks dated to me, i really dislike those tail lights.
The front is nice but a bit too much confused, the E92 has a smoother design. An E92 with LCI lights is better than the new car. The only real improvements are on the interiors in my opinion.
