Great question! The EC-7 wheels will be needed to properly clear the brakes on the F8X chassis. I do understand your confusion as the original thread had information about the ARC-8 wheels. The thread has been revised and that information has been removed. With that said, we have designed EC-7 specific F8X fitments that allow you to properly run wider tires:

Front: 18x10" ET25 with 275/35-18 tires
Rear: 18x11" ET44 with 305/35-18 tires

• 5mm front spacers may be required for certain aftermarket suspensions, see below.
• Front 18x9.5" ET22 wheel can be used to avoid running spacers with certain aftermarket suspensions due to its superior inner clearance.
• 315/30-18 rear tires may also be used, but may require rolled rear fenders and/or negative camber.
• Rear 295/35-18 tires can also be used.

He is running a square 18x10 ET25 all the way around for a functional performance-oriented fitment paired with meaty 275/35-18 Nitto NT01 tires. Additionally, 7mm front and 12mm rear spacers help dial in the fitment and an alignment helps round out the setup with -2 degrees of camber on all 4 corners.
