Spotify issue..

I wanted to know if anyone else has figured out why the image on my screen when playing Spotify only stays on the first song that I choose? Everything else works fine. It's just annoying to see the same graphic no matter what song is playing.

How are you using Spotify? BT, USB, Carplay?

I've always had issues with Spotify via bluetooth. Sometimes the album art gets frozen, usually it displays "Unknown artist" for me until I switch source and then switch back. You can try to forget your device in the car and on your phone then reconnect, see if that changes anything.

I use it via bluetooth and the album art freezes every time. I'll try what you suggested today. Thanks.

That happens to me also. Have you tried disconnecting your phone from iDrive and reconnecting your phone? Seems to work for me.

I get that from time to time. If you're using android you can go to settings > Apps then find spotify and force end. I've also had to reinstall a few times, it's a little sketchy with spotify for some reason.

When I'm on Bluetooth it happens all the time. I have a 2018. It also will show "Unknown" for the song, artist, and album 50% of the time. It lags like crazy too. If I switch to Carplay, it works fine and never lags.

you need to use an older version of Spotify on android for the Spotify app to work properly on idrive via BT
