THOR - the M Flasher

Dear Bimmerpost Community, on this thread I would like to introduce our brand-new iOS app „THOR - the M Flasher“ and give you a insight into this DIY solution.


THOR is the first Tuning solution to flash your dual-cutch transmission, dynamic stability control, limited slip differential and electromechanical steering with your iOS Smartphone by yourself. Increase the performance of your DCT gearbox and optimize your dynamic stability program (MDM mode), your electronically controlled limited slip differential and your steering with the Dynamic Package.


Choose from the OEM quality settings Road&Track or Clubsport and bring even more performance in your vehicle.

You can choose between 2 respectively 3 different packages.

Packages / Maps
- Full Flash Package
- DCT Package
- Dynamic Package

DCT Package
The DCT package consists as our two gearbox maps Road&Track (CS Maps) and Clubsport (GTS Maps).

Dynamic Package
Our Dynamic Package combined the three codings/flashs
- electromechanical steering
- dynamic stability control
- limited slip differential

and offers you also our two different maps Road&Track (CS Maps), Clubsport (GTS Maps) and M2 Competition (M2 N55 only).

The Full Flash Package is our saving special and includes both Packages (DCT and Dynamic) with an 20% price advantage.

Required accessories:
To use THOR – the M Flasher, you’ll need an OBD II WiFi adapter or OBD Cable. THOR is only compatible with the following adapters

If not then what is the difference? Where you able to access TCU tables and modify them?

Thanks for reply, one question. Will the tune always have the latest version from BMW? it would be nice to show us the versions of your tunes.

Ok so I may be a little slow and missed something and if that is the case I apologize in advance but this solution does NOT include a performance engine tune just a DCT tune essentially correct? Thanks

Looks like It can flash the Dct, Steering, Differential and Dynamic Stability Control.

It doesn't touch the engine tuning, it's DCT tune and GTS/CS dynamic codes.

No problem, yes it's a tuning solution for DCT, MDM, LSD and Steering.

Ok bit confused, I can't use my obd wifi adapter I use with bimmercode, I need to buy the Thor branded wifi for $65?

But where does the $299 full package come in? How do you order that?

Yes, our THOR Adapter is the only compatible at the moment. Unfortunately. And it's not because of the branded housing, the magic is inside.

Our adapter is by the way compatible with following apps:
- THOR
- xHP Flashtool
- Bimmergeeks Pro-Tool


The "FULL Flash Package" is an in-app purchase. You buy it with your iTunes account after your first connection.

Can you elaborate on the Dynamic Package a bit? The other options available reference model-specific settings, like base, Comp Pack, CS, GTS for steering, differential, and stability control. Does this solution allow an easy method to select these model-specific settings to configure the car? Or are we limited to these road & track / clubsport pre-configured maps? If it's the latter, can you elaborate on which settings are actually used on these maps? I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly is being advertised when there's nothing I can compare it to. Apologies if I missed this somewhere.

yes exactly, you can choose between Road&Track, Clubsport and you can flash back to base.

The Dynamic Package is a mix of flashing and coding for your Steering, MDM and Differential.

You can compare it with GTS or CS Coding/Flash

Road&Track = CS like
Clubsport = GTS like

Thanks, but I was asking which modules you are custom flashing. This is a unique selling point and also asked in post #2 and subsequently.

Transmission flash is custom, the rest of the modules are coding/flashing of OEM variants?

In other words, apart from convenience and custom transmission flashing, what are you doing differently than people already do with esys?
