Worth going from all seasons to PSS?
When I purchased the car at the dealer, they placed brand new Michelin all seasons on the four tires, however Discount Tire is willing to trade them for pilot super sports as they are out of the 4S. They will just charge me the difference and then I would have to just get an alignment. Do you guys think it is worth doing or should I just stick with the all seasons for now?

Is there still a shortage of PS4S tires? OP I'd wait if you can, I hate PSS's but love the PS4S'. I'm currently running Extreme Contacts because there was a 3 month wait for PS4S'..

The Ps4s are a lot better than the PSS in terms of performance, safety in the wet and tread wear like alotttt better
I'd recommend getting conti ECS to hold you over, they're cheaper than PSS and a lot better Better performance, better in the rain, better tread life Honestly depending on the all seasons it's not a bad idea to just wait it out Some performance all seasons are good |

If you can get a cheap set of PSS on close out and the weather is good for them, then I’d say it’s probably worth it. While 4S is the better tire, PSS is still good and you’ll notice a difference from all seasons. I wouldn’t pay full sticker or trade at full sticker value for a set at this point tho as it is an obsolete tire.

Horrible traction in the dry, rain, cold and everything in-between, even on stock power.

The PSS is really a step down these days. They were great many years ago, but technology has caught on and effectively made the PSS obsolete now.
I would probably keep the all seasons on until you can source the PS4S, which is leaps and bounds better than the PSS in overall performance in wet and dry.

I want the PS4S for my 513M 18s but they don't come in 255 and 275 40 18. What would be the next most optimal size to stock? I heard going to 265 and 285 40 18 makes for too soft and lethargic of a turn in feeling / response due to the already softer sidewalls and going one size larger with same aspect ratio meaning taller sidewall would only exacerbate.
