Just received my retrofit harness from Marius for xenon to pre lci. Doesn't looks too bad at all. Hardest part will be taking off the bumper. Will post results in the coming months.

Update us on how it goes please. I’m so on the fence with this mod. I don’t “need” it, that’s for sure, but do we ever really need these mods? Hahaha.

I’ll need to get the harness as well for my Xenon to pre-LCI light setup if I pull the trigger.
Thx

Went ahead and did my xenon to pre lci headlight install. Wiring harness and remote coding was done my Marius. Overall this was not difficult at all. The hardest part was figuring how to remove the wiring pins from the oem headlight harness and then lining up the new headlights perfectly. The wiring harness came with amazing instructions from Marius. Recommend him for all your wiring and coding needs!! Some pictures below! Let me know if anyone has any questions

Nice work.
I'm glad, i had the pre-lCI full LED headlights. I did not remove the bumper completely, just a little bit loose and squeezed the LCI ones in.
The LCI headlights make a big difference in appearance.

Apart from VO coding the 522 and 552, can anyone tell me what else needs coding?

I'm about to fit mine in the next few hours and would like to also enable the eurostyle anti dazzle (converted from non adaptive xenon to adaptive LED icons).

thanks

Shout out to Marius, he's super patient and helped answer all of my questions, whilst also performing the coding (it's way more than just VO coding 552).

I went from pre-lci non adaptive xenons to adaptive lci icons

Hi, i had pre LCI full LED on my F80 M3 also, is it a plug and play to having LCI2 Adaptive LED headlight? I find out the original harness was not long enough since different plug location, and i compared both two headlight i found out the LCi2 headlight have two less pin than the Pre LCI one.

Would love to hear for you ! thanks

Other users who have done this mod stated that you need to disconnect the clips holding the wire to the frame and re-route it for the extra slack needed. It’ll still be a bit tight.

Hi i havnt done it yet, but i tried to disconnet the clips which holding the wire.

But the drivers side of my car (my car is RHD) which i dont think its possible unless i extended my wires , i am not sure if its was different from LHD car but even i try to pull the wire as much as possible but seems it just not long enough to get there.

Is it ok to cut the wires and simply extend it to make the loom longer?

Anyone tried before?

Still finding the best way to solve this problem, seems cutting zip tie and removing clips from the frame doesnt work for me, its still way too short.

Yeah several posts down about cutting the zips but no mention about RH car.

I guess worse case would be to extend those specific wires. I would solder and shrink wrap those wires.

Depends on what you have and need.
Do you have existing LED lights and want to move to latest design?
Kind of an ambiguous question.

Wires, just plug and play. Coding : 5A2 goes to 552, code FEM and FLE. That should be all
