Steel brakes + active suspension vs carbon brakes + normal suspension

Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy an M4 coupe and after some searching i narrowed it down to 2 choices within my price range:
-an austin yellow car that is equipped with carbon brakes (basically full option) but has no adaptive suspension
-an orange car with a bit less options and no ceramics which has 2000 km more (but it has adaptive suspension)
The question is:
Since I am moving away and will have quite a few tracks nearby which car should I get? I plan to track the car but i will also travel long distances. I never had a car with ceramic brakes before but I have m sport brakes on my car which I heard are similar to the stock m4 brakes

Yellow because I wish I had CCB.

I would go with the adaptive and steel brakes. You can go aftermarket for brakes or alternatively retrofit CCBs

Under that same mind set, couldn't you just get a full coil over?

I'd go with CCB if you think you're gonna track a lot.

You could but I don't know if it will have the smooth factory setup (I.e button next to the gear lever) where you can adjust the suspension.

I checked a few days ago at my local bmw dealership and you can't retrofit the brakes nor the adaptive suspension. But after checking all the options and seeing the car i think i will go with the yellow m4 since it will take much less time with the paperwork and is a very good spec. Thanks for all the answers anyways

If you plan to track a fair bit, stay away from the CCB, they are cost prohibitive for track use.

Further, EDC makes for an excellent compromise on a dual use car. My M4 is my 4-season daily driver and I also use it for 16~20 track days per year. The Comfort and Sport settings a perfect for the street while the Sport+ setting takes car of track duty decently well. IMO, EDC accentuates and complements the dual nature of the M3/4 very well.

BMW do sell a CCB retrofit kit for the M3/4.

However, EDC is quite difficult to retrofit and not offered by BMW.

FYI, there is no such thing as "steel" brakes. The rotors are made of grey cast iron, not steel.

I test drove the yellow car (in a parking lot unfortunately) and also test drove an m4 cabriolet which has the adaptive suspension and the standard brakes. On romanian roads both sucked pretty bad in the comfort departament. I will mainly use the car in holland and germany which have better roads but i did like that i had the option to choose on the cabrio. On the flip side i talked to my dealer and the yellow car is way easier to source that the orange one + i will get a bit better of a deal since the have the car in stock. But another option arised which is a bit off topic. They just got an m2 on stock which obviously is a better deal that both m4 s but the question that pops into mind is about practicality vs track capabilities
