SMB was tempting. When that colour became free last year, you saw a lot of people begin to pick it up thought. Lime Rock Grey is rare and unique to the CS, so I am not sure if we will even see it as part of Individual in future. To me it helped to make sure people in the know see the car and immediately know it is a CS. Plus, it just looks bloody cool.

He'll be a car nut if I have anything to do with it. He loves the sounds these cars make, though do get told to slow down, even if I am going slow. He hears the sound and thinks i'm doing 100km/h non-stop.

Akra on the cards next. Tempted to save some money and go MPE, but the Akra just sounds better. I had the MPE on my 17 M3 Competition, and while it was certainly a loud popping exhaust, it was also a bit embarrassing at times. The CS tune actually gives the car a completely different sound to the Competition, and that's carried through to the sound it makes with both the Akra and MPE. I'm told it's a lot better.

I'm not exaggerating at all - it's miles more compliant and comfortable. Particularly with the softer comfort steering compared with the Competition. Truly a pleasure to drive in comparison from my perspective. I drove a friends Competition back to back with my car on the weekend and the difference was immediately obvious. If you can run a CS steering mapping, i'd recommend it.

That said, the changes also come from 19" wheels, bigger sidewall, higher ride (10mm higher than CP! to accomodate the lip). They all contribute to the improvement with ride.

Absolutely beautiful! Lime rock with the CCB’s is the best spec IMO.

Personally, and it’s just my opinion but the grey mirrors look much nicer.

haha no chance!

The only think I might consider is swapping the Grey CS 763M for an identical set in Matte Black which you can order through BMW.

Thanks guys.

The car has been off getting XPEL Ultimate and Gyeon Pure applied to the entire car. This followed a full paint correction.

Thankfully I managed to avoid any stone chips in my first 2 weeks driving without PPF.

Picked her up this evening after 3 days apart.

I am likely going to give it 6 months before I purchase the Akra.

I want to enjoy the car as it is for a short while.

A full weekend of activity with the M3. Breakfast meet with some friends on Saturday, followed by an epic drive up the mountains (where I hit my first 1000KM in the car), and finally a Charity car club gathering today.

Lots of fun. In particular yesterday. Even keeping to under 6000rpm as I’m not yet broken in, this car is clearly more comfortable, compliant and capable than the M3 Competition it replaced in my garage.

The Charity car show was sponsored by a friend of mine who also happens to be my detailer and XPEL installer. So my car was setup with a few new, slightly more exotic cars that he has worked on in recent times.

Congrats!

I don’t believe the Cup2’s are available on US cars.

In Australia, they’re standard, with MPSS a NCO.

That's what I thought. I guess I'll just have to switch to cups when the time comes.

Enjoy.

Fixed the 2018/19 year in the description also.

Now... sorting out that Akra. Can't decide if I should go with MPE though and save $.
It's interesting that CS is this different. I too came from owning another F80 and CS has been so different, compliant and overall just a surprise comparing both base M3 and Competition pack I'd driven.

Congrats! I too added spacers for street.
