I suppose If the right paint is used and applied properly the color can endure the heat of battle. I managed to turn my oem blue calipers dark green after 2 track days... brake dust was not the killer lol

The more research I do it appears you have a good point. I could care less if they change due to track use. It's like cauliflower ear, ugly but badass because you're doing work. They can always be repainted for resale.

I know. I had no discolouration problems on my E92, albeit the E92's brakes were not as stout as the F8X's.

Love this thread. I just purchased a F80M3 Comp. Atlantis Metallic and I want to paint mine Acid Green as well, similar to Blueshark_M2.

My New Car:
