JB4 question

Brief intro, I have an M2cs. I figured I would ask the M3/4 S55 crowd since this motor has been around for longer. As some might know 6/20 and later DME's are currently not able to be tuned, I was just looking at alternatives. As BMW has introduced different tunes for the F80/82 M cars, perhaps you good folks might know. BTW, I have also asked this on N54tech (JB4 S55 thread) and have not gotten any replies.

Will Map 1 on an M2cs yield the additional 40hp as advertised? In other words does the JB4 add to whatever stock power level the car has?

For example M2 comp would be 405+40 and M2cs would be 444+40.

Apologies if this is a stupid question.

As far as I know, maps 1 and 2 are additive meaning they will add a set PSI over any stock value.

If that is not the case anymore, you can use map 6 (custom map) and add the set amount you want. With map 6, you have the option to set it as an additive PSI or absolute value

That was what I was thinking. I am not looking for a crazy amount of power over stock, just a little more to make the car slightly more aggressive. The video below showed only a 20whp gain even though he said 40? This cars baseline was 418 and Map 1 (he called it stage1) was 439?
