Had a chance check out a Competition M4 yesterday and I will say the wheels look better in person tho my preference is still for the 5 spokes. The seat belts and unique seats are a nice touch. The exhausts sounds a lot louder and the burbling is welcomed characteristic of the new cans. The front wheel gap isn't as bad as the normal F8x cars so I would be less inclined to swap out the springs for lowered ones. This is probably how the car should have come out originally since I can see how BMW held out with these features to keep the car fresh and keep sales strong though out the models life.

The Competition Package was not available when I ordered my car but after my "Pothole Explosions" experience with my 335i with sport suspension I am very apprehensive of 20" rims.
It is very likely that the competition package will outhandle the standard setup but I question whether it will be possible to take advantage of that advantage on the street, Yesterday I met up with 10 Porsche Cayman GT4 owners and we drove from Brewster, NY to Lime Rock CT. We were probably driving faster than we should have been on public roads but it would have been really reckless and irresponsible to drive any faster. I had no problem keeping up with the Porsches and we were certainly all driving well below the limits of the cars, That being said the Competition Package appears to be a rather good value.

FYI, love my comp pack M3. Rides about as well as my sport pack e90. Seats are extremely comfortable, even for someone with back issues. Not a huge difference in feel between comfort and sport plus suspension settings.

I'd say there is potentially a small weight saving from the seat cutout and removal of the lumbar support bladders. However, any weight saved with the seats has likely been offset by the heavier 666M wheels .
