I'd easily take the lead with a North East meet once Spidermack's car arrives!

My other mode of transport has two wheels and a litre engine so I know plenty of roads where we can go for a wee drive - and behave ourselves of course.

"Special request, M4 Competition Package and BMW Individual Paint Special.Quota 4/2017"

There are no codes like 1200 or 1100.

The BMW genie also added "I am not seeing at what stage it is as there is no update in the system only Special request, M4 Competition Package and BMW Individual Paint Special.Quota 4/2017"

I wonder when it will arrive?

Quota 4 may mean build month 4 (April) what did your dealer advise you when placing the order?

Hi my dealer thought I might take delivery in May. How does that sound with an April build?

Wish I could see it being built. Maybe I can visit the factory at some point when I'm in Germany at least to see the birth place.

Individual paint cars can take up to 8 weeks more than std ones, just depends on how many cars have been ordered in SMB at the moment as they'll all be painted at the same time. Yes a factory tour to see you being built would be fab

Hi I have an order no which my dealer gave me.The BMW genie recognises. They gave me the details Quota 4 Is this the factory order no?

No, I think that is the month quota 4 = April build. Can you PM me your order no. and I'll take a look for you tomorrow

Hi ah maybe I wasn't clear. My dealer gave me seven digit no starting with a 4. It was when I gave this to the BMW genie I was advised "quota 4"

No, that's fine. All order numbers start with 4, anything recently ordered will be in the 406xxxx to 408xxxx range. The number you have been given is your factory order number

My car build is finally progressing. The BMW genius advised today:

"the current status of your M4 is now 5100: Bodyshop start. The car is estimated to be with your retailer in the week commencing 25th June."

I'm visiting Munich and the factory on Tuesday. Any idea's how long the build takes?

That probably doesn't help much due to the gaps and date change whilst they were sorting differential issues. But you could be lucky, you never know. I think you have a chance at least!
