Ready to buy my M4, but wondering if I'm trying to get an unreasonable discount.

2019 M4 ZCP Exec Pkg DCT
MSRP - 86k
Discount - 6,250 (I'm trying to up that to an even 10k)
Lease adjustments - 7,750 (loyalty + 5,250 lease credit)
Net Price - 72k

36 mo. w 10k miles/yr

7 MSDs and $0 down other than the required payments brings monthly payments to the high $800s (incl. taxes). I'm trying to get them to give me a larger discount off MSRP in order to get the payments down to the high $700s. Does that seem achievable given experiences from others, or am I actually sitting on a pretty good deal already?

Also, I know we're just guessing at this point, but any perspectives on whether I might be better off waiting until June?

Thanks!

It all depends on the availability and demand in your region. Most people will say you can ask for more off... because you can ask. Doesn't mean you will necessarily get it. My advice is always to shop these numbers to another dealer and see if they can beat it. Then throw the new numbers at your current dealer and see if they can beat it. Rinse and repeat until you reach the bottom. The more dealers you call, the better the chance at the best deal. Good luck!

Hey all,

First time poster. Love this website. In the market for a M4 CS 15k a year miles. Do you guys think its possible to negotiate one to below 1,000$ a month (or just at 1,000$). I've looked back and seen some good deals for 10K but just don't know how much 15k a year will change.

Thank you!

Absolutely possible. Call a 3-4 dealers that have a M4CS with the specs you want and ask how far they are willing to move off MSRP. Everything else is fairly standard in the lease anyway. At least one will want to move aggressively and that will get you under $1,000 pretty quickly.

Yes. It's definitely possible. Should be fairly easy at this point. Good luck.

Just wanted to give you guys the update. I leased this car today. Didn't quite get to $10k off MSRP (though I did get that offer elsewhere, just didn't love the spec as much), but got $8k off. All in, 86k MSRP was 70k out of the door, with payments just over $840 after tax for 36 mo/12k miles.

Thanks for all your direct and indirect help. Without this board it would've been much harder to get this deal!

for an 86K MSRP, I feel you did very well. The quotes I received for upper 700's were MSRP's in the 78K range, with the low 800's in the 82K range MSRP. Did you ger more specifics such as the money factor?

is this a good deal?

3 years 30k miles

2019 M4 ZCP 83,610 MSRP
Mineral Gray
Extended leather
manual
executive package

5750 rebate
5000 down
7k discount

adjusted selling price: 70.6k
after taxes and fees: 76k

residual purchase option: 47k

monthly payment: 840

I feel like with that kind of money down I should be getting something in low 800s or even 700s. Maybe even getting some more discount off the MSRP? First time working with leasing so would love some feedback

What's the money factor they are using? And are you making the security deposits?
Finally, I'd strongly encourage you to research the topic of putting money down. Most people consider it best practice to put as little down as possible (and it might also help you with the security deposits).

I'm checking out the numbers they gave me and I see no area for money factor. You think there's any budge to get this to an adjusted price of in the 60s?

is the downpayment for MSDs or you are putting down to bring your monthly payment lower?

Assuming you are in NJ (from your profile), you can see the discounts I got for ZCP 6MT just last week, I have applied the same discounts and rebates that I got, If you are a prior BMW customer you will get an additional Loyalty of $2500 (i have applied it in the calculations), if not your payments would go up by $75, but if you apply the $5000 down and no loyalty, your payments would drop down to $730/month. in the calculations shown, I just applied a downpayment of $100 just to bring payment at $800/month, else your MSD becomes $850 for anything over $800.

good luck negotiating.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2019 M4 based on the current incentives. Does anyone know the current money factor range and how to ensure I get the lowest available with excellent credit?

Thanks in advance!

Would you mind sharing what rebates you received. I'm looking to see if its worth trading my m4 for a 2019.
