Be careful with that! indeed and changing colour or transmission type is one of the items that can have a big impact on order date.

Just got a call from my dealer and my M3 has gone into build a week earlier than planned so looks like a delivery date of the 23rd June!

17 days is coming very fast 3 sleeps for insomniacs!

Have you all asked the dealers to leave the sticky tax disc holders off the windscreen, only needed till 1st Sep is it and probably a PITA to remove all the sticky.

Two updates in a day. My SO M3 is now "5280 Pre Assembly Storage Start"

Guys, you should ask your dealer to email a screenshot of the factory order status on the BMW Germany manufacting system. My salesguy is good, he checks all his car orders daily.

You reckon? I hope so. Can't wait to see pics of your car too.

My dealer is following up on the pdf manual. I'll rate them highly as the sales guy has been very helpful throughout the process.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's pic's too + No sign of a PDF manual yet either.

I read somewhere that the production line runs 24 hours a day and takes 40 hours for a car to complete it. I assume that 40 hours is total time on the line and doesn't include transfer + hold time between the stages i.e for any late JIT parts to arrive etc...

Looks like I'm exactly 1 day behind you, which is not bad considering you are BW 23 (this week) and I'm actually supposed to be BW 25 (my screenshots still show BW 25!) - Mine's off to the paintshop this morning.

I'm not surprised with 24 hour a day production as the capital equipment costs will be so high, so they must look for maximum utilisation.

40 hours seems quick, but I guess with all the assemblies (engine/gearbox/dif/computers etc) being built in advance, that isn't unreasonable.

I'm expecting an update any moment now......exciting times.
