I'm about to buy the AA EL midpipe and based on the feedback in here I'll buy direct from AA.

I just got my mid pipe installed yesterday, but think I need to get it adjusted as I’m getting a lot of vibration and think it’s hitting.

Did the shop install new exhaust gaskets? You can get a nasty vibration (especially on startup) that resonates through the car originating from the mating point between the midpipe and the down pipes if these weren’t installed or seated correctly. If it’s not that, then it’s likely touching somewhere

At about 1:09 of this vid you will hear what the rattle/vibration sounds like. You do not need to replace the metal gasket or bolts like Tommy did, just the actual exhaust gaskets.

I did notice that there is was some water leaking from where the mid pipe meets the muffler, but the clamps seem pretty tight. I also wiggled the piping and didn’t hear it contacting anything other than one spot where the muffler hits a thin piece of metal behind the center of the diffuser. I’m going to loosen the mid to muffle clamps and adjust to see if that helps at all. |

No gaskets come with the kit, you need to supply your own. They’re quite cheap (like $10 a gasket) and I personally wouldn’t reuse an old one. I’ve noticed that once they’re sealed and have been exposed to enough heat, you aren’t likely to pull it off completely intact. Jeepin posted a link earlier to the gaskets - they’re also known as “exhaust silencers” in BMW lingo
Edit: you need 2 gaskets, one for each downpipe

If it’s not DP related and there’s no visible touching then I’d check all the clap points to make sure they’re cinched down correctly/tightly. I’m not exactly sure what else would cause it in the exhaust chain if it isn’t any of those things. Anyone else have ideas/input?
