The stickers don't light up at night and don't change colour when the fogs are on .

I know, that's why I bought the switch

But before I bought the switch I bought the sticker sheet. So if anyone doesn't feel the need to spend $40-60 for two buttons and just wants the sticker sheet for $10....

Wait, the button changes color when the fog lights are on!? Do you have any pics of this?

I ordered a switch with both the rear and front fogs buttons from Latvia and it should be here soon. I was worried about the lack of an indicator in the cluster for the front fogs but if the button itself changes that solves that.

I only assumed it did because it did on my old E46 and did on all other cars with fogs that I have owned.

I should be receiving my switch in a few days, so I guess I will only be able to really confirm by then

D'oh! I thought you already had your switch and confirmed this.

We shall see.

Just got my switch assy. I can confirm that the fog light buttons do NOT change color when you turn them on.

One thing I did note is that selecting the rear fog light button turns on the headlights too (but not the front fogs). It does beg the question though, is there a way to activate the front "fogs" when the rear fog button is selected?

hahahahah.... Notice that there are two switches. Two separate functions......:thumb down

FYI: If you buy the american version switch the upper fog light will light up in red with light on or off both, won't change color.
But the lower can be modified like we all know by pulling the cover off and getting rid of the tabs. But that one does not have an LED built in so no matter if you manage to get the cover with the correct picture, it won't lit up.

Never say never because there is an LED in there . I'm sure with some coding it can be turned on.

In my e92 335i I had a similar issue. It was not as simple as coding though. The little control chip on the board was not present so the LED got zero power. I had to scavenge it from a donor switch and solder it on. I doubt that any amount of coding will be able to turn that LED on if it is not on normally since this switch module is just a dumb unit (it has no programming in it).

Post a picture of the circuit board itself and we can take a look at the traces on the board and determine what is needed.

I open the module and there is no led there on the bottom. There is a connector if you want to solder an led.
Fyi i open it and inspected it with a magnifying glass. Just in case my eyes where not good to detect.

To clarify for everybody, both of the following need to be coded to activate the front fog lights switch:
FEM_BODY > LCE_BEL_LIN_VAR = BEL_FLC_NSW_NSL
FEM_BODY > NSW_VERBAUT = Verbaut

[...]if you want to supplement the "Adverse Weather" mode with the cornering lights at 100% intensity, you also need to code the following:
LHM [43] > M1 - Werte = FA 64 00 FA FA FA 00
LHM [43] > M2 - Werte = FA 64 00 FA FA FA 00
LHM [44] > M1 - Werte = FA FA 00 FA FA FA 00
LHM [44] > M2 - Werte = FA FA 00 FA FA FA 00
(the default setting has the 4th byte set to 00 rather than to FA).

Performed this (the first parts) this weekend and seems like I cant get the front fogs to turn on. Pulled the button out and did the trimming of the tabs. Rear fog light works fine. Does the last part "Adverse Weather" which increased brightness need to be done?

Yes, absolutely. My understanding:

The first part only makes the front fog switch activate the "adverse weather" mode.

The second part tells the cornering lights to light up when "adverse weather" mode is active.

And remember - when they turn "on or off" it seems like there is a delay as the front left headlight will rise up to "level" with the right headlight. If against a wall you will see this defined pretty clearly. THEN the "fogs" activate. They work so well that if I'm in the center lane both lanes beside me are lit up. Very nice....totally enchances my dominance on the road....MWhAhAHAHAhaHaHA!!!

So you have to have the buttons to activate this? Also you can't have NGHB and this codded in, even if you don't have the fogs switched to on?
I like how the fogs light up the road, but I think I would get more use out of the NGHB coding.
Decisions decisions....

You can easily modify your existing buttons by simply pulling them out with a butter knife and trimming the tabs in the back (see the EAS thread on rear fogs). Some of us OCD just purchased the switches to have the lit markings on the buttons.

You can have VLD/NGHB and the front fogs coded at the same time. It is just (it seems) that VLD/NGHB are not functional when the "fog lights " are on. Press the button to turn-off the "fog" and VLD/NGHB are active again .

Word, that's what I was hoping. Spent a couple hours trying to set everything up on my laptop and connect to the car. Ran into some issues with the cable not wanting to connect me, figured that out after some brute force on the cable to car connection.
I probably will just trim the pieces for now and order some buttons later on.
Thanks for the verification!
