I do on my e90. 5w30.
When my service plan expires on the F80, I will be switching to 0w 30 for the winter and 5w 30 summer Liqui Moly. I have thought about going with Castrol, but Liqui Moly on the 180k e90 has done well on the internals. |

I've used LM Special Tec LL 5w-30 (LL-01) with no issues at OEM performance levels. I changed it at the 5K intervals in between the dealer's 10K intervals of TPT.
When I started tuning stages I switched to Motul Specific 5w-30 (LL-01 FE). Still 5K changes. For the GC turbos I'm going to switch to Red Line 5W40. Is this for big turbo use, or why the 60?

As for the OP, I only use LM in the track car as a less expensive alternative to the factory Castrol oil of 10-w60. In the f82 as with most all my modern bmws (roughly 700,000 miles between wife and I) we use the mobil 1 0w40. |
