EDS Springs to Mperf HAS

Has anyone ever done this? I love the EDS springs and the stance of the car,but I am getting more wheel rub then I would like over bumps and turns on 12+15mm spacers on my ZCP.

If someone has done this, What has your experience been like? Does the car handle well and is it possible this will prematurely wear out the suspension?

Thanks!

I thought I’ve heard of all of the different lowering spring manufacturers for the f8x but I haven’t heard of EDS before. I tried looking them up but couldn’t find them. How much do they lower the front and rear? However, your rubbing issues are due to the 12 mm and, in particular, the 15 mm spacers, not the springs. Why not run 10 mm and 10 mm spacers instead of switching to a HAS kit?

Do you plan on running the MP HAS kit at a similar ride height to what you’re currently running? If yes then switching to a HAS kit won’t address the rubbing issues. The lowering springs on your car are likely doing more damage to the struts/shocks and bump stops ow than the MP HAS kit would do (especially if you follow the recommended ride heights).

The M perf HAS kit is absolutely amazing. I’ve had various springs on other F8x including AC Schnitzer and none have even come close to the ride on the MPHAS.

This is my height, with 10mm all round and cup2 tyres. I’m an OEM junkie and it makes me happy that my car looks like this and is all OEM, (except spacers)

^Do you find your drop ever runs out of suspension travel? Does it ever bottom out the struts or has it increased firmness over bumpy pavement?

Apologies I have only seen your reply today.

No, so far I’ve had no issues with bottoming out. This includes some driving on bumpy Lake District roads. The suspension is absolutely amazing.

When I first got it it fitted and we went out in the car, my wife commented how it rode smoother and I agree. It’s now even better running the 763’s with the 19” fronts.
