Can't Clear Brake Pad Service Warning. Help!

Hello! Recently I got a service warning for my rear brake pads. It seems to just have hit a mileage interval because it says Service since XXX miles ago..

All 4 brake pads were changed like 7k miles ago so I know they aren't actually out, and when I try to clear the warning in the idrive it gives me an error when trying to clear it. It's not throwing any codes out either that I can clear.

Maybe a sensor has gone bad? What do you guys think!? Thanks

How did you try to clear codes? Instrument cluster or ISTA etc? First, check the brake pad wear sensor and replace it if necessary. With ISTA, it is possible to code a new sensor into the car and clear the fault notification.

I had the same issue when I replaced my pads. I just took my car to the dealer and they reset it for me in ten minutes.

You had to do is disconnect the sensor to reset and then reconnect and reset again.
