Not only wifi but I also usually disable bluetooth otherwise you cant have multiple things connected at once. I just flashed on iOS 14.7.1 the other day.

I do the same, pretty much disable all outside connections

Yup, wifi disabled so CarPlay won't engage.

Yup, manual IP: 169.254.250.250 with Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

Did you disconnect the battery, wait for 10 mins and reconnect?

BM3 needs to be connected to the net doesn’t it? My LTE is the only thing that’s on.

yes you need to keep one connection and disable everything else including bluetooth

Well going from 14.7.1 to iOS 15 broke my direct enet connection.

Anyone know how to fix or does bootmod need to update their app?

Nvm I fixed it by adjusting Ethernet IP manually.

Did you have to do anything else? my ethernet settings were gone, but i put them in and it still won't connect. Works just fine with my laptop...

I did update to IOS15 yesterday.

I did update to IOS15 yesterday.

Per my discussion with PTF, iOS15 broke ethernet connectivity. Apple is working on fixing this.

Worked fine for me with my iPhone 13 - connected and flashed some settings changes on the stage 2 multi-map - did not manually change any of the Ethernet settings.

Just spent a good portion of this morning going back to 14.8 via iTunes restore.

I'm having a similar issue as everyone here, except I'm able to connect to the vehicle and get an ip and I'm able to log into the app and connect the vehicle and it sees the vin. While using the app it constantly disconnects and I get the yellow bar that says vehicle not connected and then it reconnect sometimes. This is with the lightning to ethernet adaptor. When I updated the WI-Fi agent I have, it does the same exact thing. I know I'm still connected to the vehicle has my e-net cable has a light letting me know I'm connected to the vehicle and that's always lit up. The lightning adaptor also has a connection light, so I don't think it's the cable or adaptors. When I use this same setup for bimmercode it works flawlessly and no issue with it dropping connection, so I'm assuming it's the BM3 app on my phone. I've deleted the app and restated the phone and then re-downloaded the app to the phone and still same issue.

I'm at my wits end with this as to be honest, does anyone else have a possible solution?

Use your laptop and not risk it.

My first BM3 connection I used my iphone and for some reason it was able to see it. I flashed it but halfway thru it disappeared and didn't finish flashing. That got my heart beating fast.

I want to still connect my phone (but unsuccessful) but more for monitoring AIT temps etc.

Its an Apple issue as of iOS 15. There is a post on the bootmod3 ethusiasts facebook group discussing it and a screenshot of Apple confirming the issue on their end was shown and an indication that they (Apple) are working to fix it. This affects any app using ethernet on iOS 15 not just BM3. Funny enough Apple didn’t break iPadOS 15, works just fine there still. I don’t know why but Apple’s updates over the last 2 years have always been so buggy at start.

It's slightly off topic but one of these WiFi jobs is my new go-to for flashing and logging. There's no wire to get stuck underfoot, but you can plug in an Ethernet patch cord to make it a full ENET cable.

Someone else mentioned MHD makes them too. Bryan from Kies hooked me up with one.

I had that same issue because I selected one or more datalog channels (in the Other Channels section) that were not compatible with my car. As soon as I turned those off all was fine again.
Maybe that works for you as well?

I have no other channels selected. I never added any channels other than what's on by default.
