Hi all,
Ordered a Tanzanite Blue Metallic 440i M-sport with MPPSK last month. Checked today and the vehicle is in the painting stage! First time checking since I was told by the dealership to expect it around February. Expected completion date is December 4. Excited to get back into a BMW after a few years hiatus.

Just wanted to post to say this thread was extremely helpful to me.
Picking up my new M4 this week. My timeline went as follows. August, decided I wanted to buy a M4. Went to "un-named" dealer but eventually realized they weren't "high volume" dealer and I wouldn't get my allocation expediently. (I was also trying to get production before they removed the carbon fiber drive shaft...b/c well mainly so I can say "I have a carbon fiber drive shaft") August 19, decided to go with High volume dealer, and immediately got in an order with a promise for September allocation. Got my "official" allocation on September 18th with a schedule Week 40 production(2nd week of October). Finished production end of October. Approx Nov 10-23 spent on Pacific Highway(Ironic name for a ship in the Atlantic...) Galveston port of call. At the Dealer Nov 29th... (out of town working, of course) Picking up 1st week of December. So technically, from when I decided I wanted the car, August to pick up December; process took about 4 months. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. |

My car has been sitting at the port waiting for a boat assignment for two weeks now I have a feeling they removed the Adaptive LEDs that were initially slated to be on my car per my build sheet. That, or they're holding out my car so I lose out on the 60-day lock-in. I swear I'll be pissed if that happens because I have a non-refundable deposit

Yep, I would say average is about 10 days at port before being assigned a vessel, but can be up to 14-21 days if they are delayed due to weather etc

Genius states that my M3 ZCP is due to arrive in port tomorrow, 1/9/18! In your opinions and experiences, is an estimated date of arrrival at my dealership (North East Ohio) of two weeks after the port arrival date be too optimistic? I did option all of the exterior m performance carbon fiber parts.

It looks like WWL got rid of tracking by Cargo ID (which is usually the VIN#). Anyone know if this is really the case and if so, how we can track through WWL?

New here...I ran into the same problem of the cargo ID. I called W&W and if you have the VIN they will track it over the phone but won't give you any information to track it yourself. They claim due to safety that they no longer allow the cargo ID as a tracking. My car is in Port today, but to see when it gets through cutoms, etc..I have to call and give them the VIN and they will give an update, but will not give you a number where you can track it yourself.

It's gonna be close if I get mine before spring break or not. Even higher stakes... I'm hoping to get PPF on before I even drive it across town.

That's great info. My YMB M3 just completed production today, 1/25. Awaiting transport to the port of exit. I'm hopeful, base on this information, to take delivery towards the end of February in San Antonio, TX.
I have some exterior parts that I will add after delivery and hopefully soon will be going into the shop for a full PPF. |

This is the number I called for United States: 1-201-505-4000 You can find all the numbers on the website: https://www.2wglobal.com/contact/customer-service/ As long as you have the VIN they can track it for you, but they won't give you any of the information that would allow you to track it on the website. At least thats what the guy told me. I'm going to try again tomorrow and see if the next person is more willing to share a booking number, billing number, or customer reference number. |

I got the booking number from loginout that was involved with my euro delivery. I can track my car but it's not updated. Last update still shows loaded in vessel from last month.

A quick question about changing a custom order. I know it is possible to make changes until the car goes in production. But is it also possible to change the engine from 20i to 30i? Or are slots based on a production spot for a certain engine?

Wondering what the standard procedure is in regards to deposits on individual vehicles. Once a allocation is found and secured, an order is placed and the agreement is signed, at what point do we put down a deposit? Do we put anything up front or wait until we receive the actual car? Thanks
