Go ahead and share. I'd like to tender a guess at the entry though. Does it involve something to the effect of your husband not managing to use the flat for collateral, BUT, your eldest daughter somehow managing to put it up for collateral to purchase a Fisker Karma to disassemble and learn from?

I still don't understand how the banks care about you selling a flat, unless you aren't selling it, but borrowing against it.

I bought the house today.

I have exactly 25k left to renovate it if I don't sell something else too and lose a bet of 4 pints of beer in the process (which would slay my ego) and j have 46 days to get it all done.

Extreme makeovers face addition move over. This is the real killer.

The best part is that that is my forever home. I have to actually do a good job with it!

And if you are serious about it being a forever house, double congrats. Finding that place can be difficult, but once you are in, it is so freeing.

My wife and I feel like we've found our forever home and just love being there. We honestly can't think of anywhere else we'd prefer to be. Hopefully that's the feeling you and your family get too.

Lol, nobody go s through what I went through to get this one without being sure. It has been such a shit how!

The funniest thing is that yesterday I started to do the upstairs. I was going all in, opening up the space more cuz that's my plan, and the girls freaked out. They hauled dad from the plumbing site to get their way. Apparently they're satisfied with smaller rooms now, they don't want the upstairs to be as large as it could be.

Oh the things you do as a parent. When I realized I was arguing to let them have more space to fill with stuff, I gave up. The next fight was over their floors, they now have a 100 year old plank flooring and I was going to build a new one for them and I got shouted at, again. Apparently it needs a coat of paint an then I have to gtfo from their floor.

I have a bout four weeks to get the house in moving order, so saving a week doesn't hurt. I decided bravely to just repaint everything and start hauling the damn furniture there. I'll redo the floor when they become more reasonable but till then this works!

There are more evidence of me being played in the air. Yesterday when I bought it, hubby burst out laughing. "I never thought I'd be thanking the kids for being cranky little shits at times, but they've taught me how to get you to do what I want. "

Yeah, that blew me away too. I don't know the word for the thingy but if you use a flat as a collateral they get a thingy to it. The thingy remains even when you pay off the debt so you can reuse it. So when I sold the debt free flat, the fucking idiot wanted to make sure anyone who doesn't own the place haven't used it to access funds which would be a crime.
