Mines had 11 miles I picked Jan 2017 built date Oct 2016.
81 miles hmmmm not a big deal but I see where the OP is coming from being a “NEW” car. Maybe the OP can get a bit more discount or some CF bit as a courtesy I guess. Either way if it is what you want get it. Good luck

OP, I was in the same situation as you a few months back, but with 113 miles on the clock! I ended up pulling the trigger with no worries thus far

81 miles is high for a "new" car. But for a 3 year lease I really, really wouldn't worry about it. If you planned to keep the car "forever" I might have some concerns.

Sure, if you can turn this into a discount, more power to you, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker IMO.

P.S. Aston Martin's ad takes BMWs by far. Can you imagine that ad running in the US?

In the US? Not possible.

Seriously... do some research on breaking in the car. Car being redlined is not an issue unless cold - and that could have happened to any car... and... Make sure the speakers work? really? do they go out at 80+ miles? and weird interior creaks? Are they caused by hard driving in the first 10 miles?

And wow, change the oil early? What the heck is that going to do?

Hachima is spot on and gatorfast is right too Ok, he is just funny - cause that comment made me spit out my wine.

Thank you all for all your helpful comments! Really appreciate it. If I can get a smokin' deal on it, I'll probably pull the trigger as I only plan to keep this car until the new G series comes out (or, go for an M2 CP). I stopped buying cars after my E92 as I like to drive different cars every few years.

Note that 81 miles is just fine unless it's one of these folks below leasing or buying this car. Trust me, 95% of them would suddenly take issue with it if it were their situation. I say go for an amazing deal or go find another car.

I don't know if 81 miles qualifies as enough for concern, but you might want to check your local laws and make sure the car is still considered "new". Some states set mileage limits for what's considered a new car, I don't know all of them but it can get you in trouble if the dealer finances or leases it as a new car when legally it isn't. They may say it's never been titled but that could be irrelevant

I don't mean to be a jerk but 81 miles? Really? That's 8 test drives If that made a car "used" we would not be test driving cars!

But I did do a quick search and I see 1,500 miles for Colorado is the limit there (one of the few states I guess that has this rule)

I can tell you, I'm picking up a "new" Mini Clubman tomorrow with the wife and it has 7,500 miles on it.

I believe it is all in how it is titled. Ultimately, 81 miles really is not a lot - unless you are some crazy anal person (like many on this board who want to drive to the gas station with the dealer when they fill it up - also makes me laugh...).
