thanks guys… i had emailed him before and no response .. maybe he was dodging me or maybe it was just a mistake. i emailed him today and he said he can work it out on Thursday so hopefully being October it won't mess it up … i'll fight with him a little if he says I missed it due to timing but seems like he should concede, where or not he wants to. should be good. $500 isn't much but every bit helps and def makes the wife happier

Fyi, the bmwusa site now lists 10/31 as the deadline for innovations credit. Good news!

Damn...we bolted to the dealer last night to write checks thinking it was the absolute last day for the credits. Wonder why they would extend the credit and in the same breath increase the base price for most of their cars?

Are you hearing of a base cost increase on F80/F82/F83 cars?

No, its on a variety of other BMWs but I did not see the M cars on the list. I just think it is ironic to continue the promotion but then raise the base prices mid year. If they needed to make more on each car just stop the promo lol.

I applied and was approved for financing and will get the innovation credit as well. I have a few questions about the Innovations credit but haven't been able to find the answers online.

1) How much of the car do you have to finance to get the discount? My plan was to finance as little as possible ($1,000) and pay it off early, just so I can get the discount.
2) I recall reading somewhere that you don't need to finance any of the car to be eligible for the Innovations credit. Anyone know if this is true?
3) If I do have to finance part of the car to get the Credit, are there any pre-payment penalties for paying off the loan early?

Thanks for the help!

Yeah for 2015s I think. I thought it was a price increase for existing years but maybe my time frame is just messed up because of the M3 release.

Dealer I'm working with just told me you don't have to finance to get the innovation credit. Quote from email...

"The 750.00 has been extended and you need not finance with BMW to obtain."

That's the news I was hoping for. I wonder you have to apply for financing to get the Innovation credit. I was told to apply for my credit check through BMWNA and it would lock the innovation credit in for 60-days.

I thought they had a minimum requirement. Are you getting the innovation credit? If so, are you financing through BMWNA?
