Catless DP installed for under $1000?
Hey folks
Is there any possibility of purchasing a brand new set of catless downpipes and having it installed for under $1000? New to mods so not even sure what these cost - most of the websites I see are US-based. Thanks! EDIT: Note that I'm currently running the Competition exhaust. I don't even know what sort of DP it has?? |

You probably have stock downpipes (with cats). For aftermarket catless downpipes, they're $500 brand new or $300 used and installation is around $100. This is in the US, btw
EDIT: oops sorry just saw that I replied in the Australia section lol |

Yes.
Here is a local set for $450 and install should not be no more than 400 imo. https://empireperformance.com.au/pro...4aAu1qEALw_wcB You could always sell your oem cats to a recycler and recoup some cost. I would not do this though. PS: have no experience about empire. They are priced well though

Vrsf use to cheap but $Aud to $Usd so shit they're now around $9xx.
I had my active autowerkes done early last year for about $1k installed but now it would be doubled due to usd. Wait it out until this corona shit is over |

Thanks guys.
I've seen the Empire stuff. Cheap but reading reviews it looks like fitment isn't great. I will definitely ride out this corona thing and wait for the dollar to go back up. Being in isolation just makes one extra bored and looking at mods all day haha |

Stock downpipes have a flexible coupling at the midpipe flange likewise with Akrapovic and Eisenmann catless downpipes. The cheap downpipes don't have the flexible coupling that BMW included for a reason.
