Nice time in the M2. I have been wanting to get back to Wakefield but things aren't looking good for them. I don't even think you can book at the moment?
The RE71RSs look like a reasonably fast tire, maybe simiilar pace to an A052? I was looking at them but seem short on sizes. |

Yes I'd say they are probably neck and neck with the A052, however in 19s the re71rs are slightly cheaper and the sidewall is not as beefy, so that leaned me towards the Bridgestone.

Car should do a 43 with some better track conditions, preparation and driving. Admittedly I did lose a bit of interest and had no desire to do SMSP again in this thing (except south) but I might give it a go. Figuring out what's on and who's hosting is a massive headache save for checking a few car clubs websites or just stumping up for something like a 10hz-50hz logger/timing device and going on an ARDC/driving solutions () day.

Finally got some wheels and rubber for M2 CS.
Ran Bridgestone RE71RS 255 front 275 rear at Winton. Got down to a 1:32:10, over the moon with that! GR Yaris currently sitting at a 1:33.9 on A050s 235s |

Man that things got some pickup - higher top speed on the straights than mine. Good lateral grip too.
Those Supra's are a pretty good chassis! |

Ah - decisions decisions. My car is rapidly approaching 7 years old, but TBH, my car these days is a weekend toy. I've got a Telsa 3LR as a daily, my wife's got a Tiguan, so my car only gets driven on the occasional weekend fang or at a drive event.
The problem is the G80/82 is nearly 2 tonne once you option up one with a few good bits + AWD - that's just too heavy for trackdays IMO - especially if you want to put sticky tyres on it. My F82 already eats brake pads, and that's with a BBK. |
