Upset with myself for not buying the 2017 GT350 that had my name on it with track package. Getting kicked in the balls by her lawyer in divorce court was simple reason why. Now they are almost double what they were new.

I might finish getting my 2.5L S14 built for the E30 M3 but thinking it will stay 2.3L

Yeah no drop top but I could have had a GT350 in good shape for under $60K CDN, now around $90K.

Am I missing something? I just took a quick look at GT350's are as low as $48-50k. GT350R's $65k+....that isn't double what they were new?

Mid 2020 I bought a 2017 911 C2 with a manual transmission of course.
It is one of my last hurrahs. I'm ordering a new Bronco once the '23 MY system opens up in August. These are my last ones. I'll keep them for a long time and eventually move to "the future" once the technology is better.

I dropped the R and around here they were in the 100k range if you could find one. Not worth that kind of change by any means.

Gotta ignore 16's for the most part, issues with that first year. Plus I was talking CDN $.

Picked this one up, on a Z06 waitlist so may trade it on a Z eventually if I have some equity and the price of the Z isn't obscene.

The issue is so many ppl are realizing this and rushing to buy their dream cars which is inflating demand when the supply is already low due to parts/labor shortages etc.

What pure ICE cars / trucks / SUVs are you considering that are new for sale or that are coming out in the near future? Do you have a deposit? how hard are they to get? What are the dealers asking over MSRP?

These are NEW cars that I’m personally excited to drive and potentially own:
1. C8 Z06 - deposit placed, 3-4yr wait
2. Mustang Mach 1 - order placed, eta unknown. Ppl that placed orders in 2021 still haven’t got their production dates.
3. BMW M2 - might be the last great ICE BMW. Hope it looks great as it will have normal grills, Manual transmission and RWD only.
4. Nissan Z - love the design. Waiting to see reviews and hopefully drive one.
5. Toyota GR86 - If all else fails, will pick one up before they get cancelled.
6. LC500 - Hope they release a cool version with Performance package.
7. 911 - Multiple deposits, doesn’t look promising for a new one unless you want to pay $50k + over MSRP.
8. MB AMG GT - this will be coupe version of the SL coming out soon.
9. GRMN Supra - Manual Supra using M3 engine. I’m sure these will be impossible to get.
10. Dodge Challenger - I’m sure they are doing something crazy for the final versions set for 2023.
11. Lotus Emira - Looks cool

There are too many used cars to list that I like but those you can get at anytime, wanted to focus on new cars and their availability.
Not sure is anyone mentioned, the rule is not like that. It is a credit system. For every efficient car sold, you get some credit, the get subtracted by selling an inefficient car. Gas guzzler will still exist as too many manufacturers have build up enough credit to ride on that for much later than 2026 or even 2030. So don’t get caught by the headlight
Yes, but most MFR seem to be dropping their v8 options, or making them hybrids at least. I know Ford at least has said they plan on keeping ICE available in enthusiast models as long as it makes sense. That means Broncos and Mustangs. Of course Ford also apparently has hybrid v8 plans and has made noises about a hydrogen powered ICE. Lets just say that the future is really uncertain and if you want a v8, especially a NA v8 without any hybrid nonsense you should probably make plans now.
