that would be ideal. but it just comes down to money/space and people want 1 car that can do it all. The F82/F80 isn't as good as a cayman or corvette on track... and its not as good as a 5 series as a daily driver. But its kind of a compromise between both. If I didn't already have a dedicated weekend/sports car the M3 would for sure be gone for something like a cayman and i'd dd my civic.

Why get a trackable street car when you get a competition car for less? Why even have your own car when you can just to arrive and drive with full track side support? There’s so many ways to enjoy the hobby and everyone is prioritizing different stuff. As a “do it all” car for someone who needs 5 seats, m3 is great |
