Looks great and I actually prefer them to the 666 wheels. I am planning to downsize to 437m/513m wheels myself with a higher profile sidewall. I experience the pothole ridden roads in Brooklyn and Queens daily...

Is there a detailed write up on modding the headlights like you did?

I think the common recommendation is 15mm up front on 437M's, but you may be able to get away with 20mm. My fronts are 9.5", ET15 so they poke a hair more than stock 437 w/ a 20mm spacer. I'm dropped on Swifts and have no issues up front on stock 255's.

I completely agree. I live in Chicago and it's pothole central. So for me it's really an experiment.

I have two sets of BMS 18mm spacers if you want them. Used them for a week or so before getting something I can use with my winter and summer setup.

Adding vanity spacers only makes the wheels look narrower since you're pushing them further away from each other (see Tesla/Prius/i3).
Whichever design you choose, OEM wheels look best on bone stock cars imho.

Tommy L, Was the ride to harsh for the Route 1 corridor or Parkway is not so bad long as you avoid Route 22 in any direction. Would you recommend the 19's for long drives?

Thanks again everyone. I also recently installed MPerformance HAS and this has also improved my ride quality. I adjusted my suspension a bit too in order to make the fender gaps more even. Corner balancing coming this Friday.
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1633885 The ride quality is a lot better overall - much more suited for daily driving. I no longer have fears of busting my tiny tires on those 20 inch wheels. I also prefer the 437 design, but that is of course subjective. And the best thing - it takes me like a minute to clean each wheel, versus 5 compared to 666. |
