For those that got Suntek CXP I've read that there's a slight greenish color to the film. Is that what you guys are experiencing? Thinking about getting it but not sure if that would look odd.

Suntek CXP 35% - still drying in these photos actually though you can't see that.
It was an overcast day in these photos. I have driven this during the day and at night. I'm surprised by the level of darkening at night....it's actually pretty close in darkening when looking out as the 20% tint's I've owned. However, you can definitely see the ground behind you using the side mirrors - a big difference. The tint looks beautiful from the outside. Nice reflectivity, very black/carbon in color. Interior viewing through the tint is excellent in terms of clarity and angles - I can't see any waviness or anything else that would be a concern.

Looks great, Joe...thanks for the pics. I think this just sealed it for me on the CXP 35.
For a while, I was strongly considering the Carbon 25, but this looks dark enough. |

My understanding is that their next step down is CXP 20....but, and this is important, the ratings on visible light transmission for CXP 35 = 33%
The same rating on CXP 20 = 18% - which is a big difference. I would have gone with something slightly darker, I think, like a 28% VLT rating but I couldn't find it in any products I liked. |

After seeing yours, I think that'd be too dark (but I haven't seen any pics of the 25 on an F80). |

Oh I gotcha, sorry, yes their Carbon series has a "25". And that might be desirable in Texas.
I researched Suntek extensively. They are a newer tint brand and came out with their nano-hybrid carbon tint "CXP" in ~2010/2011 I believe. It had some quality control issues and, for that matter, my tint roll which was a brand new roll had a flaw in it on one side that required the tinter use the other end of the roll - luckily it was addressable. So I think their QC on the tint itself may not be as good as, say, 3m or Formula One. However, the product itself appears to be quite good in terms of heat reflection, glare reduction, heat transfer, etc. - but I would specifically recommend the CXP brand line at this time, based solely upon my readings, if you are going to go with Suntek. I'll get some more seat time in it today. |

Im guessing you saw the pics of my M3 and another members M4 done at the same place using the 45% tint in earlier post above. still looks dark enough and good tint performance if too dark might be a concern. When the bright sun hits the tint it really looks much darker and shines nicely.

I have the choice of going with llumar ctx or cxt for $325 or the formula one for $409. It will be 35% on the front and driver windows and 15% all around the back on both options. Which would you choose and why?

Formula One is a slightly better tint in every regard - scratch resistance, film performance, film clarity, etc..
But those are also "paper" differences that may mean very little to you in real life. The Llumar CTX is a great value tint - if you want the value, go with that. If you want to spend $80 to feel better about what you bought (which is sometimes the type of personality I am), go with the Formula One.

Looks like it's not done drying out yet, the fit to the dot matrix is uneven in a few places.
That being said, perfect level of darkening on that car. Really nice and tasteful.
