I was wondering if anybody could help me - I don't know whether it is to do with UK fitters not being informed or that the part is ill fitting.

I had the Vorsteiner GTS diffuser ordered. Had a respectable bodyshop try to fit the part. If the sides are lined up, the centre part bows and does not sit properly - see pictures.

Sent that back, had Vorsteiner send another one out as the bodyshop was sure it did not fit correctly.

When the new part arrived, went to another body shop - Same issue occurred. This time however they managed to get the centre to sit "okay" but the sides were compromised - as you can see in the pictures.

My question to everybody who has had this fitted - and other (American) Bodyshops if there are installation instructions? or something that is missing here because something does not seem right. How do you fit this part??

All of the other cars I have seen on the forum look like they have managed to have it fitted perfect!

Many thanks! Appreciate all the help!

Interesting, neither of the side fins lined up?

In this picture, it looks like it's not even lined up correctly. You should not see inside the diffuser like that.

This was the first attempt in which the end fins on the sides lined up with the bodywork but the centre did not stay in place. Should it clip at all?

Yeah that's a pretty bad fitment! Maybe it's not lined up right? I'm surprised considering this is not a replica?

Probably bad angles, but you should not see the inside like that at all.

That inner piece that you see in the picture actually acts as a support. We use that part to set the diffuser in, and from the center we line up the fins to the bumper.

we haven't had any issues with this piece, the center needs to be clipped in which it is not, that seems to be your issue

I just installed mine this past weekend. The tabs will not hold the diffuser in place. It only guides in place. You need to use the provided self tapping screw to tap into the metal shield on each side of the exhaust pipes. Mine was only a hair off on one side which I can live with since these are hand made.

Would have loved this on the car but just couldn't deal with the fitment problems for the price. Tried on 2 of them and both had it's own issues and was just tired of waiting.

I basically tried during 6 months to buy a vorsteiner diffuser

I live in France, Paris and i tried with 2 different dealers , i paid him and waited 6 months , but never got one , he told me that vorsteiner just kept ignoring them and didn't answer at all, so after 6 months the dealer paid me back.

During these 6 months i tried to call vorsteiner, i sent them loads of emails but they never ever answered.

I wanted to directly order from them but seems like vorsteiner are too busy.

I ended with another brand's diffuser + full aero pack and i'm happy with it

My experience with vorsteiner so far is awful , i am into business and this is one of the worst service i ever had

My 2 cents

I had the same issue. Basically, had to use a bit of force get it in place.

On the side, there is a bit of a gap on one side. I cannot possibly tighten it anymore without stripping the holes in my bumper. Also, the leading edge towards the wheel well sticks out. I will attach pics when I get a chance.

Maybe Vorsteiner figured it was cheaper to buy RW Carbon's replicas and sell them. I kid I kid.

How much should it cost for a shop to install the diffuser? I just got quoted $350 today which I think is ridiculous. The shop is a Vorsteiner dealer and they said it takes 2-3 hours for proper installation. Thoughts?

Why not install it yourself? I always think it's great when people are able to work on their own car; however, I understand the reservation if you are unsure. BUT if you ever want to do your own work, the diffuser is the perfect place to start because it's pretty easy.

Now the OP is having fitment issues. That's hard to trouble shoot for an individual or a certified shop.

Prior to this thread, I was planning on installing it myself since IND's DIY video for the RKP Diffuser made it look super easy. However, now it sounds like the Vorsteiner diffuser is not as easy to install and it might require drilling some holes in the bumper. If that is indeed the case, I would rather take it to a body shop as I don't want to screw anything up.

For those members/vendors that have installed this diffuser, how long did it take, was there drilling involved, and was it as easy as IND's DIY video?

Thanks in advance guys.
