It's not an install issue, look around on the forums at the vorsteiner diffs and you'll see it's pretty common, some more noticeable than others. My brother has one and had vorsteiner replace it since it was new, and sagging a lot. The new was WAY better, but if you look closely it still shows a bit of a sag.

I purchased one of these and made an attempt to install it today. The fitment seems to be a bit off as it wraps around the bumper where the tabs are.
I am struggling to push it in where the tabs are; it only end up pushing the bumper in. Got this from Golan; have emailed him already. where can I get the instructions? |

Completed the install today...do love the look of the diffuser and now the overall look of the car with the (OEM front splitter/lip, enlaes side blades and the VRS diffuser)
The install was a PITA!!! The thread was not joking. It took about 3.5 hours total to complete. For those who ended up doing this with the bumper on the car; would love to hear how guys got all the tabs pressed in the bumper with all the flex and minimal visibility. Anyhow, here is a summer: - Car was on jack stands - Removed rear bumper and lights, took about 30-40 min - Installed the diffuser (used a couple of C clamps to help press the middle section of the diffuser and tabs into the bumper properly), this took about 2 hours to complete - Reinstalled the bumper and lights 30 min I did end up using my own hardware to install the side where the supplied screws were to be used. PS, do not have an aftermarket exhaust and did confirm that the lower sections does not touch the OEM muffler. Last edited by ninekrpm; 08-07-2016 at 09:31 PM.. |

Don't be surprised if this piece won't fit even after the instructions. I'd say fitment on mine was a 5/10. The middle piece was warped/bowed even prior to install and once we fit it across the middle, both side pieces were about 1 inch off the bumper. We sent it back to Vorsteiner and they actually replaced it with a new one. The fitment on the new was probably a 8.5/10. We ended up placing huge screws to secure it to the bumper and my passenger side still has a small gap.
Love the look of their products but to be honest, I expected far better fitment from an "authentic" brand.

Well fingers crossed it goes well - I should hear from the workshop within the next hour or two. If the fitment is still off (and as bad as the first time they gave it a crack) I'll probably return it for a refund. For the $2K+ (AUD) it cost me, I'm not willing to live with something that just fits "OK" which I'm sure is fair enough. Probably go with the M Performance diffuser, at least that way you know it should be a 9/10 fit.

It's too bad fitment is the size of a giant turd as this is easily one of the nicest full wrap rear diffusers for the F8x.
Are there carbon extension pieces that would work with the M Performance diffuser? At least then you'd have the full wrap and have spot on fitment of the diffuser itself. |

i have recently purchased and installed the VRS GTS diffuser for the BMW M4. Everything is decently acceptable , however, there is that infamous warp/bow in the middle section of the diffuser. Could you advise on how to resolve this? i see many pple having this warping issue for the middle section. Cheers |

Considering how much they cost people might as well go buy replicas with possibly better fitment. This isn't the first time i've heard people complain about their stuff not fitting right.
