I've fitted qty 2 of the updated Vorsteiner rear diffuser on my M4. I slightly damaged one and replaced due to OCD.
It definitely requires two extra bolts drilled into your rear bumper on each side behind the rear wheels. Other than that, fitment's been spot on. No complaints. Love the look, but only matched with a larger exhaust tip than stock.

Thats what I though too. Something thats not going to burn from the heat on the exhaust though
