I managed to have euro brake force fully coded. Now my outer lights flash instead of inner just like euro spec cars.

He also helped me change the speed of the flashing. I have seen a lot people with the inner lights flashing (halogen) and I didn't like the look of it.

After trying different variations I really liked the inner lights flashing at faster rate since it's led. If I had halogen I would choose the outer lights.

Inner Light Normal Flashing

Inner Light Fast Flashing

Outer Light Normal Flashing

Outer Light Fast Flashing

Code For Brake Force Display
FEM BODY
ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG
Change to bremslicht_blinkend

Code For Outer Light Flashing
REM
3062
MAPPING_BRAKEFORCED_L_OUTPUT
change to bl

Do the same for BRAKEFORCED_R_OUTPUT.

Code for Flashing Rate
REM
3064 LceConfiguration, 2B
ESS BLINKFREQ 1
ESS BLINKFREQ 2
Change to 05 or other higher number

I just make this thread so people can visually see the different variations.

Nice, thanks for taking the time to put the videos for this.
I love the inside light flashing fast. Can't wait for the car to get here to do
some coding on this.

Cool stuff, thanks for sharing. I will definitely try this out .

I wonder if the fast flashing also works with non-LED halogen brake lights of the non-LCI.

No problem, the fast flashing is for led only.

So if I only wanted the inner lights to flash fast, on a US spec car, all I would need to do is below? For some reason I thought the inner lights already blinked on hard braking in US cars.

Code For Brake Force Display
FEM BODY
ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG
Change to bremslicht_blinkend

Code for Flashing Rate
3064
ESS BLINKFREQ 1
ESS BLINKFREQ 2
Change to 05 or other higher number

On US cars, hard braking does illuminate the inner lights but without the flashing.

Ah, ok, makes sense. Looks like something else to add to my list when the car arrives.

On this subject. Is it possible to code the rear lights so that only the outer part of the indicator blinks and not the inner part(on the boot)? LCI rears.

Yes, did you read my post? lol

Change the mapping to outer light. The values are on first post.

I was unable to find the code location to change the blink speed, my car does not have the ESS BLINKFREQ fields. Might this have changed in newer cars, my M3 is a 2016 produced in March with ZCP?

Edit: Found them under REM! All set now

Rem / 3064 LceConfiguration, 2B / ESS_BLINKFREQ

Updated op to clarify.

So for US LCI cars, I just need to code the below?

Code for Flashing Rate
REM
3064 LceConfiguration, 2B
ESS BLINKFREQ 1
ESS BLINKFREQ 2
Change to 05 or other higher number

So I coded this on 3 M3s this weekend. A 2015 and two 2016s. Coded all three exactly the same, and it worked flawlessly on the 2015, didn't work at all on the two 2016s. Any ideas?

Did the Fem Body Module and BlinkFreq on all of them.

The faster blink frequency is only possible for 2016 lci. Change the value to 05 for fast flash.

Thats what it is set at for the 2016s, but they arent flashing at all. Just a solid light, like the stock setup. No flashing.

That's weird. It should work if coded correctly.

Trying coding ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG to bremslicht_blinkend first with default blink freq. Test to see if it works.
