i replaced a damper and strut bearing, thought it was fixed but it's back again.

would love to know what's causing it. tempted to put it back to stock and take it to the dealer but that's kinda expensive and time consuming - back to stock, dealer, back to shop, coils back on, new alignment etc.

might do before warranty up.

I haven't had mine looked at again yet. I was thinking eventually I would take it in and have them look again. There's a master tech at one of my local dealers that is super cool and said he'd check it out. Seems like everyone with this issue has it in the drivers' side?

Any news? I’m getting same noice. Front driver side. Lowered on AC Schnitzer springs. Dealer replaced strut shock mount but noise persists. I was thinking of getting dinan sway bar for adjustable end links. Has anyone tried it? Also thinking of going coilovers, like TC Kline. But it seems that might not fix it.

I would check the lower control arm ball joints primarily the thrust arm.

Subscribed. I went down a rocky dirt road (don't ask) and heard what sounded like loose play on the left strut.

100% this.

my control arm was out of wack and also had thrust arm bushings replaced.

squeaks and wheel play were completely gone. steering felt as tight as a drum. the tech who worked on the car says he sees it often on this platform.

for those having the clunk sound, i've been able to duplicate my issue on demand by driving over street reflectors around 10mph. there's a steady and audible clunk on the driver side, not on passenger side.

can anyone vouch for this being the same sound?

i had the same clunk after lowering, it's the angle from the tie rods that changes, you simply have to adjust the play in the steering rack with the adjustment bolt (clockwise) no more clunk !! changing steering racks ?? Bullshit!

brought mine in for this today - dealer confirmed and had to order a left front thrust arm as there is excessive play in the ball joint

Is this something easily accessible under the car?

Also has others been able to chase this down? My car has less than 500 miles on it and noticed this clunking noise after I installed my Macht Schnell springs. Its only on small sharp bumps and more noticeable if you have the steering wheel turned. I also seem to only hear it coming from the driver side. Doubt its warn out parts on a brand new car.

I have the same noise on my 2017 F33 M Sport. Have only changed the suspension setting in Sport mode a few times. I noticed it today at the left front wheel while going up the driveway incline to a Shell station. Car only has 13,082 miles on it!

Weird that all cases are of the driver's side front clunking sound. Make me wonder if the extra weight of the driver on the left side contributes to the issue.

Also have the clucking, at low speeds. Driver's side. I took it to the dealer but they couldn't reproduce it, roads are too smooth where they are. I need to go back and take a service guy with me and find a bumpy spot when I have time.

Tommy had the same issue covered under warranty recently. Check out his vid for details. Looks like replacing the strut top and dust boot solved it.

Lol, not quite. Just wondering if there is a pattern here. Seems like a lot of people are having this issue on the left (Driver's Side) of the vehicle.

I've recently had this issue as well. Brought it in for service and they said they would clean the brakes to fix it. Clicking went away for two days and came back. Basically happens every time I turn my wheel too far in either direction. 2015 F82 passive suspension.

I've just hit this problem today as well, front driver side "clunking" noises when driving over a reflector or a small bump. Been on KW's for 6k miles without any issues. Double checked torque on everything...

I'll try adjusting the steering rack bolt first before the hassle of going back to stock to have the dealer try and fix it
